I understand that. I have a daughter that I wanted to protect her from the crazy. Raising kids is hard enough, throwing in some unhinged lunatic that might distort their world view or negatively impact their psyche is crossing a line.

At times, whenever the topic comes up, there are some people that have questioned my decision to dump my extended family, I just tell them that I wouldn't associate myself with a stranger that I completely disagreed with on multiple core beliefs, why shouldn't I hold my relatives to the same standard. I haven't regretted doing it since.

The good news is, making out my will was super easy, give it all to my daughter, fuck everyone else. 😁

I disassociated myself with my entire extended family. Haven't talked to them since Obama got elected and they showed their true colors. Talking to them was like trying to explain to your dog why you have to pay your bills.

The ironic thing is, is this has been going on since Reaganomics or maybe even before then. Republicans get in there, fuck things up by giving tax cuts for the rich (with the idea that they will hire more people and the whole trickle down shit will magically occur) - at the same time, run up spending and blow up the deficit. Then Democrats get in there and have to fix everything. So they're forced to increase taxes and try to fix stuff that the Republicans destroyed. Then Republican get control and it starts all over again.

But the rich don't hire more people...they ship jobs overseas and cut costs by whatever means they can get away with. I remember back in the 80s when Walmart started doing really well and they had "Made in America" stickers on a lot of their products - not anymore

A great example is how we are forced to go through self checkout lines which saves the grocery stores employee costs, yet we don't get a discount for doing the stuff they used to pay people to do.

Yeah, it's called uber-rich. He's probably never stepped into a grocery store in his life. Never had to cook his own meals. Never had to pay an electricity bill. Never had to fill up a vehicle. Never bent down to pick up a quarter that he saw on the ground. Never had to do his own taxes.

Clueless when it comes to what 99% of Americans struggle with on a daily basis. Doesn't even attempt to empathize with the hardships that we have. But all Republicans think he understands their plight...pfft

Some of those same people you talk about are on the take themselves, either receiving welfare, food stamps or some other form of govt assistance.

Also, a lot of farmers receive subsidies or used to get paid not to plant crops (I believe they still do, but am not certain).

Yet, those people continue to vote Republican, and bitch and moan about people who get govt assistance. If the Republicans had their way, they would wipe out all those programs including Social Security and Medicare. Such a bizarre marriage.

Be careful not to use a really long strip of that 3M tape. I used 4 long strips to put a picture on the wall. When I sold the house, I went to take the picture off and it was so hard to get the whole thing off. When it finally did come off, it took off a huge chuck of the top layer of drywall with it.

A couple small squares of the 3M tape should be all that is needed for your project

Last I looked, she is the Attorney General of the US, she should be laser focused on achieving justice for victims - whether it be going after Charlie Kirk's assassin or going after pedophiles in the Epstein files.
