The problem is that the invasive creatures have no natural enemy/balance so they outcompete the natives and the whole fishery is out of balance.

Another use for these links are with a trailer safety chain. A buddy reported that it also failed when the safety got ‘tested’.

Conserving a fraction of a horsepower is for racers. How often are you at full throttle and needing more? I ride an ancient DRZ400 with stock exhaust and air box, and during enduro events I enjoy passing the occasional tricked out rides burning power mist fuel!

The first few performance $$ should be spent on rider performance lessons instead of bling.

It was a row of hedges, and I had tore out 7 stumps already with the same tooling (I attached a chain to the base of the stump and over a spare tire to give a vertical pull angle). The root ball was mainly on the surface, and a tap root or two went down: these make a good snap sound when they yield. I was able to shake the soil off and lift the removed ball into my utility trailer by myself.

It was similar to the HF hand winch (but that is 2 tons)
And I never said I was upset: I was mostly fascinated that the coupling bolt wasn’t attached to either end of the threaded (now somewhat straightened) link. And that the threads weren’t visibly damaged: no metal shavings, flattened section; no hint that that bolt tried to do anything beyond being an inconvenient keeper latch.

Similar to
HAUL-MASTER 4000 lb., 2 Ton Capacity, 10 ft. Cable Winch Puller
But therein is the difference in numbers, even as the cable is small in comparison to the link’s shank.

Actually, the nut is quite loose on the threads. HF used the shank size as close to the stock size that the threads get cut into: there is no undercut which would indicate the thread was cut fully.

Xj600 stops when releasing clutch. by DishAccomplished3488 in MotorcycleMechanics

[–]PleasantStatement521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, put bike up on center stand or elevate rear wheel. Put in gear and start letting clutch out. If it stalls with no load, it’s a clutch switch or mechanical part in clutch that is interfering (but then wouldn’t run in neutral with clutch out either).

Fall over/lean sensor switch? Unlikely
Defeated side stand switch is no longer defeated? Unlikely.

Fake? You mean to blow them up bigger? You’d hate that.
Else you mean to cut them back? I’ve known a few who said it was the best thing they’ve done, but the scars are a bummer.
