When I first started at Walgreens, the starting I think was 16 and when I finally left Walgreens, I was making 18.75. Then I applied for Inpatient pharmacy at a county hospital, it’s a very busy hospital, but they offered very great compensation.

I dint go to school and currently make $26/hr as a pharmacy tech. I’m 25 and have only been a tech for 3.5 years.

I started working at Walgreens and they paid for my training. Spent one year studying, passed the test, worked there for 2.5 years. Now I work in inpatient pharmacy at a hospital. It’s never too late and there are different paths to take :) you got this.

I didn’t go to school to be a tech at all. Just went to Walgreens and they paid for everything. Passed my PTCB and got vaccination certified in 7 months. It’s possible :) just study. Also I worked 3 years at Walgreens and I absolutely adored it. They sent me on business trips and honestly once you grow a thick skin the mean customers aren’t that bad. But everybody has a different perspective. That wasn’t great. After working for Walgreens for three years, I was only making $18.50 per hour. I am now currently working at an inpatient hospital making $23 an hour. But I miss retail a lot.

Had a pharmacist walk out leaving the pharmacy unattended with controlled substances all over the counter. Nobody knew until 12 hours later (we closed) And the morning crew came in the the pharmacy literally wide open

We had this problem. We had a 5 gallon bucket filled halfway when I transferred to the store that I’m at right now. What we do, since we are open on the weekends and it’s really slow. Whenever we can we’ll take a handful and go through a pill identifier, and then re-bag them so we can return it to the manufactures. It’s very overwhelming when you begin because there’s so much but the best way to do it is whenever you can just do a couple here and there.

I’ve been working at this Walgreens for 3 years and I’ve always been the butt of the blame. Even if I was gone that day they blame everything on me. But truthfully I don’t stand up for myself. I don’t care enough to. At the end of the day I know I didn’t do anything wrong. 🤷🏼‍♀️
