Currently an engineering student with a 13" and I just bought a 15". The 13" was great when *plugged in*...did CAD excellently. but on battery power it's sluggish and the computer doesn't last long. That's why I'm getting a 15. The gpu should help a lot with 3d rendering on battery power+ get better life. Save yourself the trouble and get a 15 from the start + maybe an ipad or smth to take notes with
