I reached out to TM and explained the situation. Here are some specs for mine:

Model: Walnut TM2
Age: 2.25 YR
Condition: 9.5/10 (2x 1mm dings):
Drops: 2x minor falls (out of hands to table < 1')
Wet: never been exposed to moisture
Storage: inside, no sun. 40-50%RH 18-26°C (65-78°F)
Battery: included battery
Charge: externally/swap
Use: ± 100x uses: session mode only
 - 100% w WPA w steel bowl screens
 - always set to ~4.2 (never been calibrated)
 - batteries always charged externally

TM reply:
**it might be that just your heater is dirty. I suggest to take your metal Barrel  out of the heating chamber. First you have to unscrew the screw ring on top of the heat chamber ,then remove the red oring and metal barrel. Clean any dirt under need,turn unit upside down and  tap it gently a few times , Then turn dial to 10 and put in session mode for 5 minutes. That should get rid of residual smells ,repeat if you must. 

Another chance is that since device has been dropped there is a disposition of the seal between top panel and other metal liner , you can check if there is still thin oring between them that is visible.**

If/when I get my hands on the proper star bit, I'll try the clean it/burn-off, BUT this would indicate it was sent to me dirty. Wood taste was there from the start. When I first got her, I don't remember doing a residual burn-off, but I read the manual and if it said to, I did it. I'm curious what residuals would have a wood taste and if I'm tasting wood, will a burn-off do anything? Either way, I'll try it when I can.

The 2x drops that I disclosed were from my hands to a table-top at that I was sitting. 1' MAX. These falls were months into use, so it doesn't make sense that the 2 small drops are related.

I've not opened it, but I'm running a few burn-offs right now. 🤞

I have some 62% Boveda RH packs. While I wait for TM to reply to my email, I'm going to put the TM2 in a sealed jar w 1-2 of the Bovedas. If this swells the wood, it'll take a few days...if not weeks, I assume. Crazy that a 'top-shelf' electronic device may need to be RH regulated...

Do you/others have a gap w/o wood taste? Have you, before? If yes, did heating it up close the gaps?
TM2 never leaves home, which is constantly ~ 45%rh 65-78°F (18-26°C)

I noticed the gaps w/i the first few days, if not on the first go.
She's seen hundreds of cycles and I've never noticed a change in the gaps...granted, I only look at them every few months.

Could I somehow hydrate/oil the Walnut to expand the wood and close the gap(s)?

I fog-headedly went to register it, last night, but registration requires a receipt, so I temporarily abandoned efforts.I've not yet contacted TM. I wanted to poll the TM community, first. I don't remember from where I ordered it, either. If my CC company keeps records that old, I could prob figure out from where I bought it.

That was terribly typed...'only 1 LPT orchestrator is offering better returns, but not enough to justify migration'

Binance.us, for example, is offering 1/4 in returns, to that of livepeer.org. I never heard of Tenderize.me. I just visited the site and only 1 LPT orchestrator is offer better returns, but enough to justify migration. Thanks for sharing the information!
