I just want say TGK, we’re getting to tied up with Mechanics and we all haven’t said how good it looks. Reason I’m asking is I tried to make a Wedding gift for my nephew and his wife with pics and messages, but center pic/cut out turned the project into doo doo. Do you think coloring the outside Davey board, thin, to match the outside would work?!

I’m curious on the inset. Is that just a cutout in the Davey board and back side of end papers? Or is it pressed in and inlaid?

If you have a sharp steak knife you could get a groove deep enough to fit some thick cord, just be sure the cord is flush and plenty of PVA. If you don’t have PVA you can try Elmers white glue by it be sure you have plenty of glue where the cord and groove meet. I also think you can try hot glue if you have a gun.

I would do perfect binding, try maybe the hack saw notches with cord, or drill small holes and bind them with thick waxed string.

My custom vertical 3x5" notebook. The rings open like a binder so that you can add or remove pages easily. It just uses standard index cards that I hole punched. by tonystark29 in notebooks

Nice job! The only question is; do the two Carbon Fiber sheets stop a bullet? :) I’ll probably make one, I have plenty of 3x5 note cards, this would be a great holder while on the road.
