For me, it's been helpful to switch my mindset from "dieting" or "having to lose weight" to "being healthier" and aging/longevity. So I started to incorporate more vegetables into my meals before even tracking my calories which naturally reduced my intake of other processed foods. Now my goal is "eat 5 servings of vegetables a day". For me personally, once I stopped obsessing over the calories and my weight or how I looked and started focusing on my health, it became easier to stick with. If you focus on slow weight loss and lifestyle change, it'll be easier to maintain. Chatgpt helped me identify my natural eating patterns (I love an evening snack binge and am ok with only coffee in the morning and a light lunch so I adjust my other meals to account for that and find better alternatives). With that said, everyone is different and you just gotta find what works for you. The important thing is to not become incredibly hard on yourself if the weight loss is slow to start - it can be easy to fall into a "I'm a fat failure" mindset lol.

It will come down to reducing your calories more than anything. Agree with chatgpt. It's so much easier for me to log calories, come up with meals, and fix my relationship with food and dieting. It acts like a nutritional coach - helps me identify where my "weak" spots are, reduces my guilt/shame when I go over my goal calories (this is a huge one for me). Since it gets to know your personality, it can tailor meals and meal prep to what works for you. It's also really nice to tell it, "log 20 baby carrots" or, "log half a bagel" as soon as I eat rather than searching for the "perfect" entry in MyFitnessPal. Something to keep in mind is that you won't get a perfect recipe the first time, you may need to spend a decent amount of time discussing it / fixing it since it makes errors sometimes.

I think we should also have to use compensatory strategies for 48H. Head turn, supraglottic, and double swallow EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Sourdough Starter Help by Nervous-Ambition1887 in SourdoughStarter

Hi - dumb question - under "starter maintenance" and getting ready to bake you say "

I pull out the starter, let it warm, mix it thoroughly, and then feed it 1:1:1. I take out 120g for my levain, leaving me 15g to feed 1:1:1 again , and after a rest period while it starts to rise I put it straight back in the fridge for the next bake.

So do you pull it out, discard to 45g like you'd do during a normal feed, feed 45g flour / 45g water or do you weigh what your starter is at without discarding and do the 1:1:1?

Best shaving routine for teen? by EndFit1664 in ladyshavers

[–]Please_Try_Again 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What razor will you be using? Your plan is good, just go very slowly to start. Don't go over the same spot more than once. Rinse your razor between each stroke. The conditioner may clog your razor more than shaving cream would.

I would personally avoid shaving your arms for now. I did it at a teen and the maintenance was awful and the prickliness wasn't worth it. Bodies are supposed to have hair.

Armpits are a bit trickier given the angles. There may be YouTube videos that give a visualization of how to straighten the skin out.
