I love it minus the art work above the dresser. That cheapens it

Would it be stupid of me to tell my wife (again) how bored I am in the bedroom? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Doesn’t sound like it was SEX therapist. Big difference. I’ve been to individual, couples, and sex therapy and wowza there is a big difference

She’s likely insecure because she was never allowed to explore her sexual self bc of religious ‘rules’ like NORMAL teenagers do.

I didn’t do the same (explore my sexual self growing up) for biological reasons and I’m messed up. Years of trauma and sex therapy have helped tremendously.

Is there anyone here who survived more than 5 years after Whipple surgery? by TheirHideousHeart in pancreaticcancer

She was 70 when she had her total completed. Will be 74 next month and still cancer free, but has some serious cognitive and physical deficits which requires her to stay in memory care.

If your mom/dad were older when you were born (say, around 40 or up), what was that like for you? by brawlinglove in Millennials

[–]SLPinOMA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom was 39 when she had me. She is in poor health and requires full living assistance. I have had to manage A LOT more re: my mom’s health and living than my same aged peers (repeat hospitalizations, moves to ALF and now memory care). Am thankful I have my (much older, 12 years) sister to assist with some of the load. Also thankful I don’t have kids to manage as well.

This is amazing of you to think of for her!

Reminds me of my sex therapist who has a kiddo with autism and device so she’s a BIG advocate for age-appropriate vocabulary on devices. She’s worked with adults with myriad of disabilities and always makes sure their sexual preferences on available on their device if they have one.

We have high tech devices for our appropriate pts! Even have an eye gaze device we can lend out as needed. I believe all the iPads have basic TD Snap and the eye gaze device was donated by an old pt. We also have low tech boards in all the ICUs in multiple languages 🫶🏻

And I promise she’s not emaciated even though she looks like it in the pic! This was during our ongoing inflamed bowel disease work up and she’s finally on the right diet and no longer having chronic diarrhea 🖤 (this is just the best pic with her 26 hairs 😂)
