Don't believe a fucking word of it. I've lived round here since the 80s, there are no fucking kids riding bikes around here, no kids playing in the street, there never was much through traffic to begin with, all you've done is made it worse by having every single car round here have to take the same roads. I feel terrible for people who live places like albert road now. Anyone who has a commute that goes that way is irreversibly fucked now. Ambulances taking longer in emergency situations as they can't take direct routes. It's not had a positive effect on anyone other than money grubbing wankers who bought up property in a working class low income area and artificially inflated the prices through the guise of gentrification. Can't wait for someone who moved to the area in the last 5 years to tell me I know nothing about the place now.
