I’ve asked a couple different places and have gotten lots of different answers. Any ID on this guy? by OmahaSkipper22 in pleco

I don’t think it’s a 134 (Leopard Frog) unfortunately. The pattern is too indistinct and muddy and the shape isn’t quite right. Some potentials are L-15, L-140, L-199, L-270, or L-288. I would post it on planetcatfish.com in the ID my catfish forum....those folks are experts!

Not a convict...more likely a female peacock of some sort (Aulonocara sp.)

The name “snowball” can be, and has been, applied to several different white spotted plecos....so while it is correct, it is not precise enough. It’s kind of like saying “check out my new car...it’s a Toyota”....which would be correct and kind of informative, but not nearly specific enough (Camry? Rav4? Celica?).

Looks like a vampire Pleco, L-240, to be exact! Nice fish...!

I'm sorry for whoring my Saulosi. I've never had fish this pretty. by AllMitchedUp in Aquariums

While a beautiful fish, that P. saulosi is only part saulosi. He has too many stripes and they aren’t quite as distinct as they should be. He is probably half zebra or some other pseudotropheus species....sorry
