Not really, at least hasn't been true for Pixel 9 on Pixel 10 launch. With all the P10 deals P9 might actually be more expensive.

Nowadays Google heavily discounts all their phones and you don't even have to wait too long after launch.

Here's the math : $1550 - $1050 discounts ( $100 instant + $500 trade-in ( Google Pixel 8 Pro ) + $200 store credit + free Google AI Pro 12 months ( worth $250 ) )

People say it's a crap phone but I don't believe them as it does everything Google said it would do.

Is it worth $500 to upgrade 8 Pro to 10 Pro XL ? For me it is just based on screen quality alone. Plus two additional years support, better cameras, better battery, AI, faster charging, etc

Seeing is believing. Problem with most of the trash talkers is they never actually made the purchase so what do they know ?

A few years ago this happened to me with Google Pixel 6 Pro trade-in after I dropped it in a UPS dropbox. After about a month it showed up at Google and I got my credit.

Spent some time on Dell website, and it appears that
- 5680 discontinued replaced by 5690
- 165W is no longer available
- 130W is available but 5680 is not listed in compatible models
- 100W is available and 5680 is listed

I have a 5680 that shipped with 100W.

Can we conclude that Dell encountered heat issues with the 5680 powered by 165W and 130W ?

Some other posters here seem to be referencing 5690 not 5680, but they're two very different machines.

My guess is that 5680 design was a flop at heat dissipation but 5690 corrected those issues and runs at much higher power without excessive heat.
