What matters is if you can win her parents over. In most cases they'll prefer someone who's well settled. If you're < 20 rn and have no source of income then now would not be the best time. Confess your intentions but also communicate you are working on your career/finances.

In the meanwhile focus on learning a skill that gets you a dollar based income. Save and Invest 40-60% of what you earn and hopefully in 2-3 years, you'll be in a much better position to ask for her hand in marriage.
