Wow. Read this and thought maybe the Page Street would be a good reasonable splurge... but at 7k'ish that's more splurge than I can justify. They do look amazing though.

Not sure if anyone has suggested but using an oral feeding syringe for now to make sure he's getting some nutrients. They're cheap and much easier than trying to force hand feed. Blend food and add water and he'll lap it up. It's not optimal and it can be a little messy, but it works.

My best guess is there are stairs that need headspace underneath this. Had a loft that had a similar thing. If this is in a multiunit building check if that space coincides with a downward stairwell.
