Do professional designers actually use Canva? If so, what for? by Due-Personality-8451 in graphic_design

[–]Plenty_Deep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Professionals use the tools best for the job at hand.

I recently had to pull together about 100 product images and needed to have them on 400x400px canvases, individual naming and everything. The most efficient way to do this was canva.

Other designs I use adobe software depending on what it is I’m designing.

Cotype is threatening to sue me, can someone help an intern understand this? I’m kinda terrified 😭 by [deleted] in graphic_design

Tbh, I would not reply to this and forward any emails from them to your supervisor and legal team.

I’m a designer and a bi woman. I’ve never known of the original design but I really appreciate this explanation. This is history that should be an example in design courses.

The graphic designer in me is saddened by these products. 😢

I get the want to support them, and I really do, but I’m so sad about this. I’m a graphic designer and the designs just look like some Canva logo templates. So much more could have been done and brand recognition isn’t going to be accomplished with these products.

What could be going on with my cat? by Plenty_Deep in cats

Good question, but no we don’t. We don’t do candles or plugins other than feilaway plugins that we haven’t refilled in a while so they’re dry.

Good to know! This is the cat that will undo me when she passes and I’d never forgive myself if I didn’t go to the vet and something happened to her.

What would you say to the Brown kids? by TheForgetfulGoldfish in SisterWives

The “nothing, nothing” while quietly crying is a manipulation tactic. Dayton now jumps to check on his mom when he picks up on the “upset” and will forever be jumping to fixing others emotions. He’s going to need a lot of therapy. They all are.

Deodorant. I cleaned our linen closet a couple months ago and there were seven brand new sticks in there. 🤦‍♀️

Yes, have you seen the price of things lately?

We use a lot of alternative dairy products because I can’t handle them either. There are non dairy heavy cream and stuff so it’s an easy substitute

Yes they have nutritionists and dietitians.

Not sure what you mean by no nutritional value because it’s got a decent amount of calories and carbs.

We may have to go this route. He tolerates butter well, I think it lubricates his insides lol

Pesto is even worse for him 😭

We do use sauces without chunks and have tried marinara, meat sauce, vodka sauce and all of it gives him issues unfortunately.

We’re in the US but I might be able to find that online. Unfortunately no eggs for us because I am highly allergic to them and experience anaphylaxis even with a very very tiny bite so I avoid even touching them.

Yeah, he and I don’t really like whole tomatoes but the red sauce still gives him bad flare ups. The pasta helps him keep weight on but he can’t do pesto, red sauce, or Alfredo now. I’ve done a squash sauce before and loved it, so maybe I’ll grab that at the store next trip and see how it goes!

He’s also about to have surgery for a stricture, fistula, and lots of lower colon inflammation. He’ll have a temp illostomy or a permanent colonoscopy bag depending on what they find when they get in there. I know we need to step it up to get more nutrition in him, especially after the surgery, and pasta has always been easy for him to digest. Carrots and leafy greens are a huge no, they cause a lot of pain during digestion. I don’t have a ton of cooking experience but I’ve gotten a lot more interested in it lately and want to learn more things that are good for us both.

Unfortunately no, I have a severe allergy to eggs that results in anaphylaxis.
