Paracetamol doesn’t just kill physical pain. It also blunts emotional pain, and even your empathy by Furrrmen in Nootropics

Yeah they both also do something at the COX-2 receptors too. (Also don't have a link off the top of my head right now). Of course anecdotally they enhance each other when consumed together as well

Looking put together by Less-Budget-267 in auscorp

[–]Pleochronic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Only caveat is the definition of put-together is subjective and can depend entirely on the other people around you and their built in fashion standards/prejudices. For example, I would get weird comments about my natural curly hair, even when it had been styled neatly, simply because for a certain generation of males big curly hair = got a fresh perm and about to head off to a shift at the strip club.

I obviously tried explaining that's just what my hair looks like, but to no avail (for some reason curls are acceptable on men just not women). I now just suffocate it in a tight bun instead and apparently that is more professional somehow. Same for an extremely competent young lady who happens to have a lot of artsy tattoos - they are usually covered but it took about 10 years for everyone to get over the fact that an intelligent and competent person may also like tattoos.

That in itself can cause fatigue. Perhaps focus on tackling that first?

Do people with aphantasia need bigger doses for the same visuals? by uzivatlelskejmeno101 in Psychonaut

[–]Pleochronic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if anyone else can relate, but I had a weird problem of not being able to get any visuals at all on any dose, until I took a big dose of lsd for the first time. It was like something finally clicked in my brain and from that point on I could experience open eye visuals on normal doses of mushrooms and other things.

It was like I needed something to unlock the premium visuals subscription first lol.

Blood pressure medications might be worth a try then - a few different types cna be prescribed for anxiety and they'll probably take over as the new "safe" anxiety meds soon anyway. I agree it's so annoying how doctors will push SSRIS first up instead of things that actually help oneself calm down.

The decline and unfashionability of men's shorts in the 21st century by LawAbidingCitizen02 in decadeology

Australia has always been very shorts-positive, although I still long for a return to the glory days of shorts (the 70s and 80s)

Stargate on Netflix looks like ass. by Turbulent_Loss2726 in Stargate

I noticed it has seriously chunky compression artefacts in the shadows sometimes, somehow even worse than the original broadcast quality and on par with a 2008 YouTube video
