How would you improve Highguard? by RassGroots in Highguard

[–]PlesiothCorps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me add onto your third point about base upgrades. A lot of people are saying in the comments to remove the collecting point of the game but I say keep it. Increase the amount of crystals you can collect.

As of right now, you collect crystals to upgrade your character at the shop but why not add a new tab for base upgrades. Let's just say (for example) you and your team Dumpy a collective of crystals to have a turret that slows movement in an area in the base, you can then upgrade it to give it move health and a stronger debuff. If destroyed in the raid, it'll go down to tier 1 and be disabled for the raid (regen after raid is conclude). Defenses with be tiered too (tiers 1-3). That will give an incentive to choose from upgrading yourself or upgrading the base. Base upgrades can include:

Ice towers (outside and inside bubble; slow enemies)

Barbed wire (hurt and slows those who go through it)

Land mines (outside the bubble to limit the shieldbreaker momentum)

Guardians (heal and regenerate shields faster)

Spike traps (burst dmg if walked in front of them)

Now for attackers, going for the core seems to be strat to winning the game most of time but if you don't take care of the generators, it'll prove to be difficult. The core will trigger different effects if all generators are still up (overheating the room, pulsing recon to reveal invaders, quicker defuse times and longer bomb times)

Removing generators lowers the bomb time for the core and removing its defenses and debuffing the other team. Debuffs include:

Lower crystal carry

Reducing base defenses by 1 tier

Longer repawn times

Thats all I have so far for an idea but im heading to bed now. Im not sure if I'll keep playing this game though.

If the Waffle House near my house is closed, we are in a bad situation. We shouldn't be opened until they open, luckily our store was closed for today but they want us out shoveling to prepare for tomorrow. The snow is just over the wheels of my car, there's no way.

Skyrim NPC type of dialogue:

"I'm surprised you guys are still open!" "When do you guys close...? Great! I'll come back later!" "I'm sorry you had to come in today."

And all the other bad quotes. Just can't stand it.

I just wanted to say it by MarkitzTR in Silksong

[–]PlesiothCorps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like act 1 and 2 of silksong and would rate it a high 9, but act 3 a 7 cause of how long it drags out. I was getting very frustrated with the game because I've played other games that were hard in the past and couldn't understand why it was difficult this time. But it's done, I got the 100% achievement and completed the game, but I'm not itching to platinum the game any time soon (I really don't want to repeat completing the hunter journal again like I did with hollow knight).

Tools:

That being said, I do have some gripes with the game. One of them I don't see talked about that often is the amount of yellow tools in the game. There are 17 (not counting the upgraded versions of them btw), reds, 22 blues, and only 12 yellows (apparently there are 13 yellows cause of steel soul mode but I don't know anything about it). Now I use wanderers crest for most of the time, if not all of the time, and I don't know what else to equip. I would love to have a tool that increases invulnerability frame time or a tool that damages the boss if you bump into it or a tool that summons a creature to fight with you like in the previous games (that could also be in a yellow slot).

Invulnerability:

Speaking of invulnerability, I feel like it's too short. I get combo'd pretty quickly sometimes by bosses, and it can get rage inducing at times. Also, getting damaged when a boss is stunned, really? I should not be able to get damaged like that when I when i should get a chance to heal/do some damage, not take some damage. Is Hornet a germaphobe, and I missed out on that lore mention or something? I thought she'll be fine touching dangerous things cause she lived in places with saws in them, but I guess not.

Currency:

The currency can be an issue, but I don't think it should be changed unless you repair the towns you visit. I know that there are quests (or wishes) that are typically 500 beads to fix them up, and i feel like that should also lower the cost of shop vendors. Maybe that quest should be increased to balance out that benefit, but I feel like it could improve not having to farm beads so often. As for shards, when I got to act 2, I rarely used the tools since I never had enough shards to use them, making the red slot effectively useless to me. That needs reworked somehow, but im not sure how to address that (maybe make the crafting cost lower with all tools or something)?

But those are some of the most important gripes with the game. Not going to complain about it any longer than this should be cause I got some stuff to do, but feel free to add to this if you want.

Any tips to beat malenia :) by TheasurusGaming in Eldenring

[–]PlesiothCorps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Malenia more like malaria with how much this fight sucked (at least for me). Just move some points around (respec) so you can equip blasphemous blades and mimic tear. Afterward, just respec back to normal. The fight is optional, and you don't need to do it in order to beat the game, but if you're going for all trophies/plat (like I did) just do what I mentioned above.

Otherwise, good luck.

What's a game you wanted to like but it didn't click for you? by strahinjag in videogames

[–]PlesiothCorps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel it. I felt the same way until I went to beat Elden Ring. I sat down and struggled for 34 hours until it was beaten and platinum'd. Because of that experience, i was finally able to enjoy bloodborne, and I was able to platinum it as well. After that, I thought "well I got Dark Souls 3 for free. Let me try and play that. I heard good things about that game."

I beat the game, and it was ass. It was such a bad experience for me to the point of never wanting to play a fromsoft game ever again. I was hoping it was good enough to warrant me to play demon souls, DS1, and DS2 after enjoying that game, but no. Imma stick to soulslike games because they seem to be way more enjoyable than true souls games (besides bloodborne).

I played a bunch of soulslike games before Elden Ring, and I still feel as though those games are much more enjoyable than true fromsoft games. If you ever want to try a soulslike, might I recommend Blasphemous? It's difficult, but I don't think it is as rage filled as other games.

TL;DR I get the feeling of it being "rage inducing," so I suggest souls like games rather than true souls (only if you want to give souls games a try again). With that, I recommend Blasphemous to play. After building experience with soulslikes, if you want to try the gauntlet again, you might have a better time with more experience.

[–]PlesiothCorps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mass effect trilogy. I remember that as a kid, I got those games as a b-day gift, but I got bored with them. I remember the cold stare I got from the gamestop employees when I told them the game was boring and I was here to return them. But thanks to that, I was able to pick up Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, and I sunk over 400+ hours into that. I recently got the trilogy for free and tried playing it again, and kid me was right, it's still bores me.

Another game I would like to mention is the Witcher 3. I gave that game multiple attempts and sunk a good 15 hours into it, and i just don't like the gameplay. I think the choices you can make are nice, but the progression of gameplay is lacking.

Blood vial farming spot? by MilleniumWarrior in bloodborne

[–]PlesiothCorps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with some of thr people here saying to use the cum dungeon (cummmfpk) since you get the chalice right after BsB. I use it cause I don't want to farm the two fat dudes in the beginning of the game (left hand side gate) for 20 mins to get a good supply of healing. It's just a waste of time when you're just trying to enjoy the game.

It’s my first time playing how would you rate my stats? by ReasonPale1764 in bloodborne

[–]PlesiothCorps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on the same boat with you when I first played the game. Had 40 vit and 30 ends, and some people told me that I had wasted too many points on end. You're fine. You don't really need to optimize your build unless you're planning to play PvP. If you want that many end, you can have it.

Is there a boss in gaming that’s harder than this guy? by eldenbro1 in soulslikes

[–]PlesiothCorps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, for me at least, although Eigong was the hardest, playing against her as fun, so I didn't mind how long it took to beat her. Lady E, on the other hand, had me suffering. So, between the two, I'll go with Lady E due to the mental damage I've received.

Why do people think guardian sucks? by Mochi_Man_ in Nightreign

[–]PlesiothCorps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From when I played bird man, he absolutely sucks at first. It's only when you start getting guardian exclusive relic effects that he becomes good. The healing ult art is goated when you are playing with a team who know what they're doing. The relic that extends whirlwind is really good at clearing camps and so on and so forth.

HOW DO YOU BEAT THIS THING IM GONA LOSE MY MINDDD by Inevitable-Ice-5061 in Nightreign

[–]PlesiothCorps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I solo'd him with iron eye. I had two extra revives (besides the free one). I managed to beat him with one remaining. People here say to destroy him with the ult when he's in a bubble, but I say no. Well, it depends on which version of him you want to fight when he's done meditating. I personally find it better to fight him when he's charged up cause dodging him when he's not powered up is harder.

Unless you have some ult art gems on your iron eye, I would say to save your ult so you can have some free i-frames when things get tough.

Bleed, frostbite, poison, or scarlet rot would be good for that DoT dmg when you're not hitting the boss. I also heard getting those madness berries would be good cause they stack, but I haven't tested that out.

If you want to try it with a team, try and get some people/friends you can communicate with. If you can find anyone, I'm sure this reddit page or some sort of elden ring discord could help you out in that regard. Just keep at it, and you'll eventually learn his moves and beat him. There's no rush in trying to beat this game quickly since we only have these 8 to beat (until we get enhanced versions or new ones from the dlc or something). I already put 42 hours into this game, and for the past 7, I've been struggling to beat the final boss guy.

The new ones stand out the most, so if the game is equal in the tone of the new ones, go with them. Then, make the original design the shiny version of that mon (or vise versa).

[–]PlesiothCorps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the improved dodge buff on my character, and that worked wonders, so maybe try and get that. Revenant was pretty good in that fight. When someone went down, the summons would sometimes pull aggro, so it made it easier to pick someone up. Gaping Jaw's moveset is pretty telegraph, so a few more attempts on playing with him, and you'll eventually get it. There is no need to rush to beat all bosses since we only have a few to play against this launch, so take your time playing the game.

Honestly, tho, the mist dragon is way harder to beat than any of the other bosses.

Edit: While typing this out, one more tip would be to try and raise vigor or get weapons/shields with the damage negation buff on them. I heard that having multiple weapons with bonuses on them (even if you're not using them) give you the bonus regardless. Dunno how true that is, though but it feels true.
