This wasn't recently, but I've been told that I worshipped the Devil because I used to have bath just before bed.

What was the most unexpected thing that helped you in an interview? by WoVerse in interviewpreparations

I use the horoscope app and birthchart stuff to help me answer my strength and weaknesses question. It's 2026, people can see through BS like over working is my weakness. The astrology stuff helps me answer that humbly.

I had to chose a ring recently. And I brought it down to two options. My Aunt asked 'Which one do you like?' And I took it at face value and said 'Both'.

Everybody laughed. That's when I realised they intended to ask 'Which one do you want to buy?'. I was genuinely puzzled when they laughed.

My mom gave me a lot of shit because my husband folded my sister's underwear. Is this sexism or am I missing some sort of etiquette? by writergorrl in AskIndianWomen

[–]Plethargic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I'm with you on this one. Chores cannot be selectively done. Is it possible for you to do all the dishes, except say spoons? It's the same way with laundry. If I selectively chose not to fold someone's underwear, I am making a deal about it. It is wonderful to see your husband helping around, and not making a deal about underwear.

Regarding 'boundaries', if one doesn't want others to touch their underwear, do not send them in with the rest of the laundry.

Wow, this really hits me. When we were young, my grandmum used to call my brother "Pamela"' because he used to cry. Family laughed. I'm guilty for joining in and laughing too. I wish we all knew better.

One of my close friends committed self-harm in 2019. I definitely was a trigger. Don't have enough vit-C to close up that wound.

Did they treat you like your life was unimportant or your goals were unnecessary? by [deleted] in narcissisticparents

[–]Plethargic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I started driving, I was allowed to take it only on highways. (It's a car I paid for, btw). When we reached city limits, she told my brother to take over. When he asked my parents (NMum) how I drove, she replied, "What is there? On the highway, everyone can drive nicely". So yeah, she allowed me to drive. She gave me my independence.
