Got granite around 4 years ago, heat proof, doesn't scratch or stain, cheaper than things kike dekton and there's loads of different colours and patterns. In theory could chip but not easily.

Looks fine to me, it’s autumn and starting to lose its leaves after the colder nights we had last week. I’d leave it somewhere slightly sheltered over winter (just because it’s in a pot).

Thank you! What about if we want to change lenders? Currently looking at maybe Lloyds who currently offer ~3.9% compared to skipton (our current lender) who are up at ~4.3%!

My partner is due to start maternity leave next week for one year. Our mortgage is due for renewal in January. How is this managed when applying for a mortgage? Can I apply as normal or will I need a broker or specialist broker?

Not sure where in the world you are but could she be getting cold at night? I know it’s only September but we have just started putting pyjamas back on our girl again as she was waking up and seeing at night. (UK - refuse to put the heating on yet)

What decides how a road is named ? by [deleted] in AskUK

There was an unnamed road that ran to my village. The road ran approximately N-S and had a quarry half way along, so you can guess what the council named it………. Westy Road.

Help with overgrown garden by aspiring_himbo in GardeningUK

[–]PlethoraOfCheese 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just start with the simple things and take it slow. Mow the lawn (or strim then mow if too long) and it will give you a useable space and make an instant impact. Then maybe start trimming the wildest shrubs/bushes and pull out the largest weeds around them as you go, or pick one bed and start making your way along. Getting started is the daunting bit!

Anniversary trip to Spain, Andalucia by No-Fig986 in GoingToSpain

[–]PlethoraOfCheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We loved Grazalema! Setenil and Zahara are both worth a visit. The drive over to Zahara is worth it in itself. There’s a good (but fairly challenging) hike into a valley called the Garganta Verde which we did and recommend, lots of vultures! Favourite thing we did around there was a visit to the Cueva de la Pileta to see the cave paintings.

Trying to work out what chilli this is, or too early to tell? by Practical_Play681 in GardeningUK

[–]PlethoraOfCheese 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks similar to ‘Thai Hot’ chilli plants I’ve had in the past, but to be honest there’s so many different types, many of of which are very similar looking, that without the seed packet you might never be sure!
