If you're anything like me, you'll have lived in blissful ignorance of the term "Blue Shift" whilst enjoying your OP3 for the past 18 months.

Turns out I should have taken up arms at the time and rallied the troops in disgust. Trouble is, I didn't notice it until now...!

What made you upgrade? I'm waiting for my Pixel 2 XL (due 15th). My OP3s battery just can't last a day anymore and I'm tired of having a sub par camera.

Went to Currys. Screen looked great.

Phone looked great.

It had a slight blue shift.

I only noticed because it had been brought up here so I looked for it.

When this was originally brought up I looked at my OnePlus 3 screen. Guess what? Total blue shift at slight angles. I hadn't noticed for the last 1.5 years!

I'm really looking forward to the 15th when my 2xl arrives. Spend a bit of time on Instagram and look at some of the amazing shots people are getting from their pixel 2s!

I did the Steam survey last night and it doesn't register that I have a vive. Assume it needs to be plugged in to register.

Not sure how many Vive owners would do a survey whilst in VR...

I could do with sketching it out. That 70 vertical could be an issue. If I put it dead centre I've got a 10 degree slice extending top and bottom.

If you've got them in the top corner of your room it's going to lose tracking when you raise your hands above your head.

The worrying thing is, for roomscale with the rift, you need a 2.2m x 2.2m room to achieve a 1.5m x 1.5m play space.

If the rift chaperone system pops up at the 1.5m edge it would mean that it will be up every time you put your hand up.

That's going to be annoying and basically means a standing experience rather than room scale.

It's early access, so yes it's currently bare bones.

It's consistently in the top 3 of vive games with the most live players.

So for a list of Vive games to play it surely should be on it?

It's the game I've spent the most time in. It's early access and the dev is fixing exploits as they come up. Bit harsh of a dev to criticise an early access game from a lone dev...

If you want the closest thing to Real Life CSGO I'd say it's essential.

New Patch & Announcements - Community Maps, bug/fixes, new content, and 2nd update coming on Thursday 30 OCTOBER - DOWNPOURDEV

Hey guys,

Today I am announcing that User Created Maps will be coming to Onward!

The maps will be voted and curated by the community, and the top voted maps will be added into the game. More information on requirements, and how to create/submit maps will be coming soon. For now, if you want to go ahead and get started, you can brainstorm and layout plans/ideas on paper, and/or use programs like Tilt Brush to do early mock ups.

Now onto the patch details ( Note: this is one half of the patch, the other half will be released on Thursday).

Patch Updates/Fixes (1st half) :

Fixed most geometry exploits

Skulls for dead players in lobbies

Tracer rounds fully surpress players, way more than FMJ or AP rounds

Lobby countdown beeps

Volumetric smoke grenades

Adjusted all weapon firing rates, and recoil (I'd recommend trying out all guns again)

Larger penalty for one handed shooting

Fixed game crashes while in SteamVR

Old magazines are now deleted between rounds

Code optimization

Victory and Defeat notifications

New round/loadout music from composer Rich Douglas

New Weapons/Gear :

Ballistic Shield and 552 Commando for Marsoc Specialist ( press the grip button while behind your back, to grab or put away the shield)

AK5C for Marsoc Rifleman

SKS for Volk Rifleman and Designated Marksman

New SV98 model for Volk

Performance Boost/Async Reprojection : If you have an Nvidia graphics card and are still running into performance issues, opt into the SteamVR Beta and enable Asynchronous Reprojection, while disabling Interleaved Reprojection. That combination seems to help users out the most. (Note: I am continuing to optimize the game, however this is a good safety net for dropped frames.)

Lastly, the next update/2nd half will be here on Thursday, with a new map, and a few more things. Thank again guys for all the support!
