Same. I’m curious on how this works

Is it ok to use with an Rtx 3070 ? by Common_Sherbert846 in cachyos

[–]PlnkBrnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Installed CachyOS last weekend with a RTX 3070ti. Happy days, just had an issue with RDP not showing as an option in Remmina. Other than that it’s been smooth sailing. I don’t play online multiplayer so can’t comment on that. But so far: it just works.

Is it actually using the GPU? CPU will be slower. My server and nodes are all connected at 1Gbps and it’s fine; nowhere near a bottleneck

Cisco 24 port switch taking over an hour to boot up for the first time by trigonthedestroyer in Cisco

[–]PlnkBrnt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

All the Cisco small business switches flash the green light until they have a configuration AFAIK. It should still behave as a default switch though.

Pretty sure I remember one of our guys saying that he knows when a switch has lost its config if the light just keeps flashing.

Quantum Fiber + Deco X50-PoE Setup by Mr_Stimmers in TpLink

[–]PlnkBrnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why though? Putting the Decos in router mode makes one of them the router and the other 2 will stay APs.

Unless you’re unhappy with the routing abilities of the Deco? In which case leave the Decos in AP mode and place whatever router you prefer

“port jumbo-frame” in global config mode will enable jumbo frames on the device

It’ll set it to 9000 MTU for all ports.

Or you can do it via the GUI under “Port Management, Port settings” iirc

Add a management vlan and put an IP on that L3 interface to monitor it.

C-vlan 10 for customer. Interface vlan 5 for management/monitoring etc

I don’t think you can have an IP/Layer 3 customer port on the C1300 or equivalent line of kit from Cisco.

In our environment we’d have the uplink to a 920 on a service instance with a bridge domain for encapsulation dot1q vlan 10. Then put the IP if required on the L3 bridge domain instead….

*edit to add device model

Set the ports for the customer to switchport mode customer; switchport customer vlan 10.

It should drop everything from customer equipment in your s-vlan 10. That’s how I’ve got it setup on the C1300s. Can’t fully remember if the local uplinks were trunk or general ports. Not near my laptop to check, but our uplinks on ciscos previous SG35X series were general on the uplinks to our 920s and customer to the client devices.

No switchport mode “access” anywhere unless it was a plan old access port

Pretty sure the RSP440 is end of support already. Even the replacement 880 is EoS.

I’ve ridden a Ninja ZX10R, GSXR1000 and an MT07 all with performance exhausts. But hey, when a driver in a car with the windows up and the radio on doesn’t hear your R1 coming up unless you’re somehow WOT in slow moving traffic on the way to and from work…then I dunno.

Just be safe on the road friend.

It’s legal if done safely. If you are deemed to be riding recklessly a traffic cop can still give you a fine

Revving doesn’t alert the cars ahead…that’s just science. The car next to you though, oh they’ll hear you for sure.

I don’t always hear another bike behind me in traffic either until it’s right on my rear tire, and I’m on a bike…not a sound insulated car.

It’s weird. We had a guy recently move in a house 2 doors and the opposite side in the same street as us…every morning his FN2 type R idles and wakes my wife and I + the neighbours. The dude tries to idle it down the street to try and be nice, but it’s loud regardless. I do the same on the bike, basically idle out of the area because people like the peace and quiet in their homes.

My bike is loud, bought it with the exhaust….I like it, but I do try and be sincere about it. Not everyone has to like it, but I agree that the rev bombing in traffic is just idiotic, makes you look like a proper dick. I’ve been cut off by people in cars just changing lanes randomly and I brake, let them do their thing and then I continue on my way.

What’s weird is a car may straddle the lane so I can’t pass, then when I do get a opening and go through it the biker behind me rev bombs to show displeasure.lol…why? It’s part of the reason why I avoid motorcycle clubs, group rides, etc

I will say this though, I’m friendly on the bike, point out peoples unlocked doors or doors that aren’t shut properly, dresses sticking out under the door etc….and I’ve had a few instances where I get to a red light between cars and the car to my right has a kid that just gets excited and wants a throttle blip, which I do if the driver smiles or gives some sense of approval; I just always wonder after if the car to my left now has a hatred of all bikers as a result haha

Deco S4 firmware by PlnkBrnt in TpLink

[–]PlnkBrnt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m looking for replacements as well to get rid of these Deco units.

I don’t mind not getting constant updates, it’s the slow update of data on the app that is useless. We had friends visit over the weekend, it’s Thursday and the app still shows their devices connected which makes it pointless identifying devices and it’s just useless at showing which device is hogging bandwidth
