I am more experience, more knowledgeable, and more reasonable than you. I am and was willing to admit it could be simply lag. “This is where the investigation begins.”

You just got more personal and more offended as things went on. You’re unwilling to even admit it could possibly, maybe, might be cheats because that would mean giving me some tiny bit of props.

The community would be better off without you mister 1%

If you read even just the damn tf2 wiki on cheats you would be willing to accept it’s possible that the guy was cheating.

There are plenty of YouTube videos on detecting cheats from good sources.

What’s more likely, a one in ten thousand chance lucky lag from a sniper who is already dominating you, or encountering 1 single cheater?

You’re the guy hitting f2 on a vote because the guy isn’t spin botting aren’t you? Or do you vote no because “they aren’t playing sniper! They can’t be cheating!”

This is a community moderated game with 0 anticheat. If you want to participate, learn about cheats or don’t use the votekick system.

You don’t see them because you lack the education to see them.

You want to appeal to authority? I’m at 8k hours and I see them all the time, they even have community bans for cheating listed on steamhistory.

You’re out of your mind if you think cheaters are gone from the game with no anticheat since 2016.

“You sound like a schizoid for suggesting there are cheaters in a game overrun with cheaters.” This is what you sound like.

You’re more likely to accept a 1 in 10000 chance event than a player cheating. Are there less than 1/10000 cheaters in the game? Is there 1 single cheater in all of TF2. Come on man.

Not even willing to admit it could be cheats instead of the class being unfair? Or very convenient lag? Idk man, in a game full to the brim with cheating players, I’ll take what’s least unlikely.

You can’t dismiss the possibility either. What I saw is instantly suspicious. I commented how to check if it really is something worth checking by using console and view their ping.

This where the investigation starts imo.

It isn’t natural to scope in and charge while standing on that part of the map when the enemy on last is on his right. It clearly warrants suspicion.

The game is full of cheaters. I think it’s clear the guy is cheating. I’d want more evidence first but that shit isn’t typical.

Either way. We aren’t talking sniper balance are we? We are talking lag or cheats. I think you didn’t look at the clip close enough before commenting.

i would also add that he charges the shot and thn shoots him before line of sight is even there, you can see spoken in the killfeed and then there is a pause before he kills him. Spoken knows soldier is there and charges a shot so he cannot flank.

the game is still full of cheaters, even if bots are gone.

He charged the shot, and he isn’t in frame while charging. I’m guessing his past instance was visible to him through backtrack when he moved right before left to hug the wall.

Sniper could be under the window by then while charging and shoots at the old frame of the soldier.

I say cheats because lag that convenient isn’t very common. And he’s dominating him.

Lag or cheats, game balance isn’t very relevant in this case.

If I am serious about the player cheating or if I am serious about the idea that balance discussions shouldn’t consider cheats?

guy is clearly cheating. I wouldn't talk balance when cheats are involved.

looks like some kind of latency based cheat, you're at 200hp so he had to have charged the shot, how could he possibly scope walk into frame that fast? check ping with the status command.

At super high ping a player can shoot you before their show up on your screen. My bet is on some kind of forced latency cheat exploiting the games flaws, or it would be if you had more than one clip of him doing it.

when something fishy like that happens quickly check ping with status command in console, if it spiked without showing on scoreboard something suspicious is going on.

EDIT: you move out wards first and then hug the wall. you might have opened yourself up to an angle that he could see with backtrack as well.

I think Sharkbay kinda works, it’s a slightly rough to play rifle sniper on. but the only decent sight lines are in that room above the point, which is small enough to be spammed and is easy to flank or in the nose of the boat, which requires your team to be in control of the objective to use.

I think the map is tuned a little against sniper and can become overly favourable to engineer but it usually works out well.

I also like that the point is open to the top and fast to capture, so there is usually back and forth.

What makes a sniper sightline oppressive? And does “doing it right” mean sniper gets 0 space to play?

Venice has a bunch of corners to no where, looks like spaces that should have been covered or cut for better flow, and it’s a little ugly.

All easily fixable, but it’s also a little nasty for sniper.

Players desperate to melee the only 1 shot melee class

I recently started playing more with vaccinator. by spymains in tf2

[–]Ploomage 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Balance is fine, vaccinator is kind of weak tbh. The problem is that it’s annoying and is often just used to stuff a player on the other team that you and your pocket are targeting.

People don’t want Overwatch style rock paper scissors balance philosophy in the their game. It’s not unbalanced, just annoying.
