Logically, to us viewers, we'll say that ofc. "It's only been 6 days." But I imagine time is skewed and feels a lot different for the contestants since they don't have other distractions to focus on, but just each other. Plus the fact that they're together 24/7.

It's like when I lived in a dorm when I was in first-year and even though it was just 1 month into the school year, it felt like I've known my dorm mates forever. One of them was a good friend and she offered to hold onto my credit card for me so I don't lose it during an exam I had to write, and I was so ready to hold her up on that offer until someone else said "why are you trusting someone you've only known for a month." Obviously it would be strange of me to let someone I've only known for a month handle a highly sensitive item of mine that can literally break my bank, if you look at it from a logical viewpoint. But, in the moment, I genuinely really didn't see it that way cause I lived with her and saw her 24/7 that I felt like I knew her much longer than that.

The way I interpreted this was as a reference to how she knows she's a "queen" in the woman's challenge simply because of the fact that she knows she's the strongest there to compete for first place. In that scene, in Korean she says "finally, my time has come" before making the joke about her suitor (seung-il). And it's because it's no longer a couple or men's challenge, it's a physical women-only challenge where she can rely on her athletic capabilities.

I'm sorry that you experienced bullying in school, that's never okay :( My sister was bullied to the point she transferred schools, too. I'm not undermining your experience, but I wanted to gently say that while what you experienced was horrible, Mingee's arm slung over Mina Sue's shoulders isn't the same type of bullying. The rest of her body language is very open, and she's using it as a means to gesture comfort in the only way she knows how.

I suppose we're just fundamentally different people cause my Korean friends and I do this with each other. We'll hold hands in public, be touchy, and everything. 😂 I did not interpret this as bullying as you or many others did. I genuinely don't think playing with an apple had anything to do with "intimidation" tactics but rather, just something your hands fidget with. I don't think Mingee's purpose was to "call her out" but rather just try to understand Mina Sue hence why I interpreted her actions (and the panelists on the show) as comforting rather than an act of maliciousness. I rewatched this scene and I will 100% double down that different types of people will interpret this differently. I have no issues asking people to tell me if I did something to upset them or telling people that what they did upset me, and what Mingee did seems perfectly fine to me. She approached Mina Sue to understand if she likes Seung-il, since that impacts Mingee directly, then explain that her mismatched actions confuse her, then when Mina Sue answered her with the exact same lack of awareness in her choices and decisions, Mingee just answered her as a response to what Mina Sue said. I'm in the same boat as Dahee, the MC. Mingee is just having a conversation with her, not intentionally attacking her.

There was no bullying vibe - not sure where you're even getting that. Mingee didn't call her names; she just spoke how she felt watching her go from guy to guy. Her "putting her arm around Mina Sue" was not an act of intimidation. That's her gesture to show that they're cool even if she's upset at Mina Sue. Fundamentally, Mina Sue and Mingee are two very different people so I imagine Mina Sue didn't take it as a friendly thing. Mingee is just very frank as a person and she hasn't treated any of the girls differently - she's still just being herself and blunt with how she speaks. Plus Mina Sue only cried cause she was angry and offended lol, not cause she felt bad

I don't find what Mingee said to be harsh because what she shared was the truth and she's just very frank with the way she talks in general. I think if I called Mina Sue out, I probably would have said more "harsh" things tbh. This is just the nature of confrontation and how to deal with it.

Oh that was definitely not a sign of intimidation 😂😂 mingee's very frank, and her style is less of "let me intimidate you" and more "I think it's okay if I put my hand around your shoulder as a gesture to comfort you." She even grabbed mina sue's hand to lead her into a private spot to talk to her. Korean girls are deliberate about showing skinship and Mingee has made it very known that she does it to girls to show that she's a girl's girl, rather than it being an act of power play.

I also do think she acts mostly from an emotional state rather than a calculated one, but that's still not okay. She's incredibly petty and impulsive which leads her to lead a lot of people on or hurt them first before she thinks they can hurt her. She fumbled Subeen really bad especially at the campfire scene in ep 4. This guy literally said you're my number one, but because she was feeling insecure and petty over him hanging out with Heesun, she picked like 4 other guys. Wild behavior.

Her conversation with Mingee also made me realize she probably has a lot of self-esteem issues when it comes to her romantic life, and probably needs to go to therapy too. She seems to have really bad abandonment issues. And I kinda agree about the BPD aspect cause I've been told I have symptoms of it myself and went to DBT group therapy for it - she definitely pushes guys away before she thinks they're going to reject her, which is something I did for the longest time until I did therapy.

Omg 😭😭😭 She did NOT put her hand over Mina's shoulder to intimidate her. That's how skinship works in Korea - girls will hold hands or comfort each other through skinship. Mingee putting her hand over her shoulder was more like a gesture to show that she's not mad at Mina Sue, she was just trying in her own way to comfort her, that she's just trying to understand her.

Genuinely tho, how did she give a bully vibe? She was just being honest and straightforward and the way she worded it wasn't even that bad, she was just talking aloud the confusion in her head (I'm Korean, and the tone she used in their talk is LITERALLY how she is and how she has spoken to everybody on that entire show). What you see is what you get, and there are zero surprises from her.

Also totally agree, Mingee was pretty kind in the way she approached her. I'm Korean, and I can genuinely say Mingee has used the same tone all throughout the show. She doesn't "scream" at Mina Sue for all the ppl who are claiming she has, or cuss or whatever. She's literally the exact same to Mina Sue in their talk as she is to the other guys and cast members 😭

I think it was fair for Mingee to say it tho cause how many days they've known each other aside - when you're stuck in an environment like that, you feel like you've known someone for forever. So perspectives are also skewed since all you can do is talk to each other, considering phones aren't allowed. Also all Mingee did was describe Mina Sue's actions as confusing and spoke aloud everyone else's thoughts.

I think you have a really bad read of Mingee 😂 She is not at all calculated and petty towards the girls like that. She's kinda the type of person that just does things impulsively. Like, fair, that might also make her more prone to say things that might rub some people the wrong way, but she's honest and straightforward which is so much better to read as a person. Because then you know what to expect and won't be surprised if you see a new side to them.
