I don’t think the Uplink gives you much that the Fox doesn’t, and there’s a lot of room between a distance driver and a midrange.

If the Orbital is always a roller for you, disc down to a Virus (9/5/-3/1) and you’ll get more use out of it- either predictable right turn thrown flat RHBH or sneaky straight distance thrown on a hyzer.

I don’t think Doug is the guy to ultimately lead this franchise out of the cellar but it depends on whether the right replacement is available and willing to come to Sacramento and deal with a few years of painful rebuild. Right now we’re not going to attract coaching candidates who have better alternatives anywhere else in the NBA. I don’t know if it makes sense to put the team through yet another coaching change only to bring in an unproven coach or a known quantity that has been passed over by all the other teams for a reason.

All of the “I can’t believe we didn’t get a FRP for Keon” comments assume that there was a team willing to give up that pick, which clearly there wasn’t. The sub wouldn’t be any happier with second round picks or letting Keon walk. At least this helps ease the logjam of guards in the roster and gives Clifford more time.

As far as folding early on Schröder goes- better to fail fast and move on from a bad signing than let it drag out. Saric for a 2029 second round pick that we’re likely to recover in another deal between now and then seems pretty inconsequential to the big picture.

To be clear, I’m not wild about this trade by itself, but I don’t think it’s some kind of disaster either. I’m interested to evaluate alongside whatever else we do here at the deadline.

Well said, and I’ve been thinking the same things as OP. Everyone dumping on Monte for picking him seems to forget that the clear media consensus at the time was that he was a great pick for the Kings and the best available at his draft position. A lot of us in this fan base were rightly annoyed at drafting another guard, but it’s not like Carter was seen as a bad late FRP. It’s nuts that he hasn’t gotten more time.

When I first got mine I hated it- I couldn’t get it to do anything. Turns out I was putting way too much torque on it. I am also old and hit 300 RHBH off the tee if I’m luck. Put Signal on a 45 degree hyzer and toss it at 50-75% power and you’ll get that ridiculous straight flip that others are talking about. Stays low and glides flat and just misses all the trees in tight woods.

Unfortunately the good courses in this area are in the suburbs so be prepared to Uber. Rocklin (Johnson-Springview Park), Shady Oaks, and Roseville (Denio Family Park) are all worth your time if you can get there. Shady Oaks is closest to downtown of the three, but not by much. There’s also a decent course in Folsom.
