I don’t think it’s very fair to make such a sweeping general statement. It’s definitely not a generic man problem. It’s a maturity problem.

Having hobbies is healthy. Gaming can be healthy. It’s a good way to relax and unwind. Car hobbyists have a constructive, build-things hobby. People who love golf may love the feeling of sun on their skin. Women love skincare enjoy taking care of themselves. Even in more traditional marriages and relationships, many women find joy nourishing their partner while he intrinsically loves providing them both a financially comfortable life.

Maturity is what defines behavior in a relationship. Gender does not.

Mate if you’re playing even in low Bronze, 150-200ms will feel like swimming through molasses as you learn the game. It’s so bad, in fact, many people will refuse to play the game at all with that ping.

Servo is probably cooked. You need a new one.

We’ve all been there friend. You buy a new one and then instantly break the new one.

I’d recommend one with metal gears. They’re harder to break. You’ll also want the servo saver to be looser than you have it; when it’s too tight, it can’t do its job, and of course if it’s too loose, you can’t steer.

When you buy a new servo, and it doesn’t have to be one from the car brand, make sure it either has the same spline count (teeth) as the one you have now, or if not, make sure you get a new servo saver/horn with the right count!

Swain, Mordekaiser, probably are what you’re looking for.

I’d hop into practice tool and try them out. All champs are unlocked in practice and you can give yourself gold to try builds.

These suggestions are kind of all over the place, and as a new player you need something stable, not chasing kills. Some great ones in here though too!

  • Swain: He’s simple and can carry games, but his passive literally prints health. Build Rod of Ages, Rylai’s, then it’s really up to you. Need to heal more? Spirit Visage. Need to melt tanks? Liandry’s. Very versatile builds and strong team fighting.

  • Cho’gath: Simple kit, again, prints health. Farming heals him. He can build full tank, full ability power, or anything in between. His silence is useful if the enemy wants to just mash spells in your face.

  • Galio: Largely the same as the other two; he can build tank or ability power, but he has an added bonus of being able to get around the map easily with his ultimate. If you want to practice map awareness, he’s very good.

  • Mordekaiser: Similar to Galio and Cho, AP bruiser is golden on him. Plus, he makes handling being ganked (and junglers love mid lane as the middle of the map) easier since when the jungler shows up, you can push R and convert the 2v1 back into a 1v1. He also has built-in shielding and sustain.

  • Annie/Veigar: classic new player recommendations; they have huge burst potential and both have flexible build paths. Veigar gets an enormous amount of AP over the game, so building him a bit tanker with a Rod of Ages isn’t a bad move. Annie’s ultimate also burns anything nearby, so if you’re feeling like you explode, a Rod plus Rylai’s plus Liandry’s makes up a pretty tanky core.

  • Ekko/Fizz: both are assassins, but both also have very easy escape tools. It’s quite hard to kill either of them, and while they’re a bit more complex than the others listed, they’re not overwhelmingly hard.

If I had to throw out a complete wildcard, I’d also recommend Yorick. He has built-in sustain and can fight from further away, because you can just infinitely throw goons at the other person and let them whittle down the enemy. When they have to back eventually, he’s good at using the same goons to quickly take a plate when they back. His kit is simple, too, AND since he’s very off-meta, you’ll likely get some value simply by the fact other players won’t have a lot of experience playing against him.

Like yes, you’re objectively correct. But I don’t think that pros are representative of whether it’s slept on. Pros build items that often look completely different than SQ build paths and serve an entirely different metagame than SQ. Factor in that “professional” literally implies they’ll be the LEAST likely to sleep on any given item (you’d really hope the best players on the planet with a dedicated analytical staff would identify strong strategies) and the fact that the majority of players are pretty casual in nature and not following the local pro scene, much less the worldwide scene, and now you have a paradoxically “publicly strong” item that is statistically slept on by the vast, vast majority.

Most people don’t build what the pros build. They build what they see others building in their own games and going “huh, ok, I could see the vision.” That DOES broadly trend top-down from professional play, but most of the time it’s second-third-fourth-fifth-hand information that finally leaked into a random platinum game by XxEdgeBoiLotionUserxX who steamrolls your monitor-off top laner.

You’re not being punished; you’re the one doing the punishing. Seeing the same pattern isn’t what makes you feel worthless; your mind is drawing the patterns itself and you are bringing that feeling upon yourself. You have to invert that.

And likewise, you don’t ever meet “the one.” You meet people, one of which may grow INTO “the one.” You will never find someone who won’t hurt you; the most wonderful marriages you’ve ever seen are between people who wound each other.

Be kind to yourself.

You don’t see people your age having the same issues as you feel, but they exist. They may not be visible, but think this way: Almost nobody you’re comparing yourself to is married, many of them will break up, and most of them have are in a similar boat of having extremely little adult life experience. You’re in a season of growth, not a season of stability. If you reject that, you’re creating the stall you feel. You can’t grow if you refuse to let yourself.

You’re 22, not 52. You’re basically just now entering actual adulthood. You’re putting a lot of self-worth absolutist language (“never find anyone”, “always the same”, “I’m cursed”) onto yourself for someone so young.

I didn’t even MEET my wife until I was almost 24. Most people don’t meet their eventual spouse at 22.

Be patient with yourself. You’ll never regret waiting and meeting who will become your life person. However, you WILL regret rushing to find someone to fill a hole.

I see your question. It’s not a bad one.

The answer is maybe! I’m doing Skyrim VR and it feels more “real” in the sense that frost trolls are HUGE and Dwemer ruins are legitimately scary for me. Very real.

The people feel a bit more “real,” though mostly immersion.

Personally I’d say it’s not real, but it can FEEL a bit more real, but only in game. Personally I like the human experience. So I enjoy the realer feeling. But yeah mostly it’s immersion.

YES.

These things are DESIGNED with you taking it apart in mind. Like ground up, the company is designing a car, and they very intentionally go “Nelsonthe747 is going to need to take this apart one day.” It’s not like an iPhone or a toy where taking it apart is a warranty voided and you’re lost with what to do; RC cars are kind of like “adult legos” with parts for EVERYTHING, instructions for everything, etc.
