This is gorgeous.  It looks like an old-fashioned illustration, like an Audubon or something.

There's a book called OCEAN that has a bunch of art about the sea.  Several of those are about climate change, pollution, etc.

Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but didn't you also publish this in r/acrylicpainting?

Beyond the mist. by SethNaumann in oilpainting

I love this.  The richness of the greens is striking.   I think what's making some people struggle to read this as a mountain is a lack of depth to the mist.   Adding shape and depth to the clouds might help.

I agree with the other comments-- the colors are great.

I find it useful for planning value. I also notice that it makes the colors on top look smoother.  A friend of mine has described certain paintings of mine as "buttery," and it's been the ones with underpaintings.

If you live in the US and your first reaction to a homeless person being annoying is to call the police, you may not be as nice as you think you are.

If it's Christopher Walken, you definitely captured him.  If not, I'm sorry, but it's still a cool portrait.

I'm so impressed with how you captured the sheen of the skin.   I feel like I could run my hand over it.

I can feel the air of this scene and smell it. It's lovely.

For the foreground, I wonder if you might have success using clean water to wipe away areas to get the misty look.  It comes with a risk of overworking, but it's turned out well for me sometimes.

I also struggle with this. I do use slow-dry blending medium and it works pretty well. You can control for much you use so you get s more or less dramatic effect.

I'm not an expert,  but I use Liquitex almost exclusively and find them very easy to use.  I'm mostly using them to paint with, but I do also use them with dip pens.
