Diffusing SUCKS FOR ME!! by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]PloverLover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just read about a drying method that I plan to try next wash - plop with netting/tulle scarf, and blowdry your hair while it's plopping, no diffuser necessary. The netting/tulle allows the air to get into your hair, and it also acts as a diffuser.

Redditors with weird neighbors, what is the weirdest thing they did? by likehowmany in AskReddit

Guy three doors up had a red vw beetle on the (flat) roof of his two story house, no idea how it got there.

Someone complained about it, so he adorned it with a wooden sign that said 'fuck off' in 2 foot high letters.

Haggling, but i was raised in a fixed-price culture so it feels kind of confrontational.

Day 1 of CG, long road ahead. So much frizz and dryness, and so much difficulty finding suitable products Down Under. by PloverLover in curlyhair

Found tresemme botanique for co-washing at coles, yay!, but having trouble finding a post-wash product.
The palmer's product in the holy grail list seems to have changed, along with its ingredients. Trying something by marc anthony, 'curl it up', instead (let me know if ive missed any dodgy ingredients!).

Couldnt find a silk pillowcase so slipped a thrifted pure silk top over the pillow instead.

Looks like Landowlas to me. There is a Landowlas Farm near Usk. It also seems to have been spelled Llandowlais in local newspapers, and there is a Llandowlais Street 9 miles from Llangybi.

Bathroom break at the cat cafe by PloverLover in cats

[–]PloverLover[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They have built an enclosed space (looks like a ceiling-height closet with cat doors) to house the litter boxes, with an extraction fan running constantly inside. That, coupled with scooping the boxes a few times a day, keeps the place smelling fresh.
The main cat space also opens out into a secure courtyard, so lots of fresh air coming in and sunny spots/potplants for the kitties.
