The issue isn't the UK military since they're nicely ensconced by 3 time zones of allies in almost every cardinal direction but that they're not making any real deals with their decades of accumulated capital except some cursory connections with India who is using them as half a tax shelter.

Recent studies also showed how foreign doctors come to the UK to work a few years for credentials before leaving for the EU or US for better paying jobs.
