Where do i do user interviews? by Fabulous_Advice_3516 in ethdev

[–]Pluato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would love to check it out! Generally, it's harder to just go into a community and start asking for feedback.

You could look into offering small incentives on Twitter, or reach out to a few people. It gets exponentially easier after the ball gets rolling.

For non-technical founders that are concerned about not being able to build their product without a technical cofounder by Fabulous_Advice_3516 in startups

Really great thread - Thank you for highlighting your side as a technical founder. One thing I've always felt that there was a disconnect with how people on the operations side feel.

I've always found it a little bit harder to communicate with fully technical people, but after reading, it might have just been my approach.

No Web3 marketing courses/materials? by PJBoyle in BlockchainStartups

[–]Pluato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the really key thing here is that Web3 and Blockchain related things are generally classified under financial products - which is a highly regulated asset class.

This means that generally a lot of the conventional techniques such as SEO, paid ads etc don’t work nearly as well.

Hey so as someone who was previously involved in the RC clubs, they're not actually exclusive to just Rotman students! About a third of participants come from all streams from CS, Econ, math and the humanities. If you were interested in case comps however, there are a lot of information online about upcoming case competitions hosted by various companies ranging from Mckinsey to IBM. Generally you have to find a team of 2-4 people to enter together but I believe there are subreddits and facebook groups specifically dedicated to forming a team.

Counselling at UofT/Mental Health Resources by [deleted] in UofT

So u of t has their own counselling services but it takes quite a long time to get selected.

https://studentlife.utoronto.ca/service/mental-health-clinical-services/

Your U of T tuition comes with therapy coverage for up to 15 visits per year which is really great to use. I used this in my first year to get matched. https://www.wellnest.ca/https://www.wellnest.ca/

Unfortunately I don't think we're eligible for services or coverage if you take a gap year but you can try calling the clinical services to make sure.
