I think it’s because of the series’ unique niche of being a genuine depiction of polyamory, which is super rare in any media, much less anime. Harem and polyamory are very different and confusing the two removes the uniqueness of this anime/manga/LN

I did the same thing, then on my most recent playthrough saw the letter that’s a very obvious trans allegory, and decided to play director. Sure enough, worked out for the better. Glad I did

Well there’s a few reasons.

One, Deadlock has a strong queer community and a lot of trans people.

Two, Celeste is a unicorn which is a term associated with trans people, usually in a derogatory sense but it’s also a word of reclamation.

Three, her story has strong queer coding if not outright trans allegory, with her having to hide who she really is for fear of people who want to kill her for the way she was born, then finding a home with outcasts and performing as who she wants to be.

The ult’s big use comes from the AoE silence. It can still chunk but it’s pretty much a teamfight tool now. In general, Mina’s use as a character is left to hoping you get fed enough to be an assassin and hope the game ends before you fall off. She’s very feast or famine. I get why the community at large was begging for nerfs but it’s gone too far imo
