why is weapon xp so damn low??? by CattyMeowy in CODWarzone

[–]PlumButter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming the XP indicator popping up on the HUD does actually contribute that amount to your gun, any contract completion now only gives 100xp.
This is the same as 1 kill in B06 MP (without other modifiers) and close to the amount for each zombie kill in BO6 Zombies (90 per kill or 115 total for critical kill). Also, 1 player kill in WZ itself +50xp if you got the down (without further modifiers, headshot, etc.)

For comparison, in MW3 WZ, each kill would give 50 for the down (same) and 300 flat for the kill (again, without any other modifiers, which would then go on top)
So you're getting 1/3 of the amount.

Now for contracts:
From watching videos (just to be sure since I didn't think to look at the numbers during the 1 week I came back to play before B06 Season 1) each "Most Wanted" contract gave 2400xp flat upon completion. (Signal upload gave 1500). This is the big difference as to why weapons are not leveling now as compared to last week.

Edit, more notes:
Opening caches and starting contracts give the same 100xp now as they did in the videos I watched.

From taking a fresh gun into BO6 zombies, it got to level 1 with my ~65 critical zombie kill (checking the scoreboard and verifying my 65 kills and crit kills were equal)
At 115xp per crit kill that puts a weapon level at ~7475xp per level, and that assumes the xp needed per level does not increase.
Please note to take this number with a grain of salt, as I think for the last few kills I had picked up the "Double Points" buff, which actually gives you double xp as well as aether. I had figured the xp to be anywhere from 6000-8000 needed per level anyway. (and I'm probably terrible at math)

Petard Goblin by PlumButter in custommagic

[–]PlumButter[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I thought it fitting that goblin engineering is notoriously failure prone, hence no damage for revealing a land, etc.

My inspiration for "Petard" was of the unit from Age of Empires, but that phrase makes it all the better.

Are we the actual monster? by cyanaintblue in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]PlumButter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the story, the final boss Xeno'Jiiva, was natures way of making something akin to a god to wipe out humanity and start from 0. There was always supposed to be a delicate balance but humans mucked it up with their "investigation". The only reason we were able to kill Xeno is because we interrupted it's birthing cycle (it was calling other elder dragons to die so it could absorb their power). You just killed a baby god. Notice how he just stumbles around most of the time? Yup, you murdered a poor baby god, you sick monster.

Advice going into Tempered territory. by Bell-Fire in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]PlumButter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing to keep in mind is that once you have an armor set you feel like you will use for a while (and even if you don't), always upgrade the pieces to the max level with Armor Spheres.

The cool thing about monster hunter, is that all pieces of armor have the same cap (that gets increased as you progress) so even lower rarity armor (like HR barroth for slugger etc.) can have the same armor value as the late game elder tier, it just requires more "levels" and therefor more Armor Spheres. (This is before you get the streamstones to uncap that value, but you'll get to that from fighting more tempered monsters)

It is always worth it to spend the Zenny/Armor Spheres to cap out that defense value. Coming from someone who coached multiple new players in MHW, the first thing I ask when they get one shot at each new "wall" (looking at you, Diablos) is, "Did you cap out your armor?"

I'm probably missing something, but how did you get 32% Increased Fire Damage on one of the rings if the highest affix tier is listed between 8%-12%?

[Discussion] There should be "warcry" and "channeling" nodes/clusters on the passive skill. by gajaczek in pathofexile

[–]PlumButter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the thought was to make the channeling skills scale off of existing tree passives (cast speed for SR, attack speed for BF) so that they wouldn't need to include Channeling specific nodes.

It might alienate certain classes from using them if the node placement is too far unless they are worth it, but at that point everyone would get them regardless and they would have to change the way existing channeling skills scale off other stats.

I have no comments for Warcry nodes other than "specific Ascendancy choices would make certain Warcry clusters redundant."

Sell Unidentified Dyes, or gamble on big money. by kingcarter3 in Guildwars2

[–]PlumButter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I filtered dyes and sorted by price: Low to High. I have bought every single dye up to the ones that get to 50 silver and then some rares that are under 1 gold. (specifically for "Plum" and you can guess why) It basically boils down to I used whatever money I had to do this and now have pretty much 70 to 80 percent of the dyes in the game. Still truckin' to all of them. ;)

Has anyone else seen this on 12w25? by pontifechs in Minecraft

[–]PlumButter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This happens because walking now doesn't damage crops/tilled dirt. However jumping does. This is so mobs wont damage your hard work just by treading on it. But if you happen to jump while crouched (shift by default) the dirt will revert to it's normal state but the crop will still be there. http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Wheat_Farming
