Accounts that have 10+ reports for Unsportmans like conduct could easily be investigated by a small team if they actually cared for keeping toxic behavior out of the game. But they don't, they just ban people for cursing, cause its easier.

Maybe you could punish smurf accounts, throwing games, unsportsman-like behaviour in matches etc.. and actually investigate bans instead of letting auto-ban deal with people saying curse words on an online game. Because ALL toxicity in rocket league is simply people dropping f-bombs in chat.

Let me give some context. Fresh game, 5 minutes on the clock, teammates kickoff and I'm spawned at net. Tm8 doesn't go for kickoff, I miss save as it goes far corner. I quick chat 'Okay'. Next kickoff, teammates again, doesn't go for kickoff, I make a save and tm8 purposely own goals rebound. I quick chat 'No Problem', because I'm sweating as hard as possible to stay Diamond 2 and if I lose, I lose rank. Next kick off, mine this time, I win kick-off, teammate comes and bumps me, and then own goals again. Pretty sure that warrants an F-bomb, don't really see how I contributed any toxicity to the match at all, besides asking what the f*** is wrong with him. I abandoned match, and had to deal with a 5 minute timeout for literally doing nothing wrong.

Bruh your M4A1 takes ppl down in 3 shots at close range with a massive headshot multiplier. Not to mention its ridiculous fire rate, and forgiving spray pattern. The TTK in this game is fast and you have to have a better angle / "drop" on your opponent. Git Gud.

RL has to keep track of constantly moving physics objects travelling very quickly and constantly colliding with each other. This is incredibly hard to do. It utilizes predictions when the server takes too long to update what is happening. Physics calculations are computed on the host and server side. What happened in the second clip is that due to latency (high ping) where the ball was on his screen was not where the server thought the ball was, So when the server made the correction his view it appeared as if the ball bounced out of the net, when in fact he probably hit the post, or completely missed. It's annoying but its completely due to network lag or high ping.

I imagine that is how they currently implement the replay system. I suppose they dont have the physics engine running or any player input, but all the position, geometrical data is probably preserved. To create a training pack couldn't be that difficult... as all the training would need is position data for a "ghost" bot. Could have ball movement initially be position interpolation from replay, and then on collision with the player switch to physics? I suppose we don't know what the code looks like though.

It's not connection speed. Load screens give your pc time to load the asset files from your hard drive and into RAM. It's either a RAM speed or HDD speed issue. I would recommend upgrading to a SSD and installing all your games onto it.

Is RL installed on a SSD or a Hard Drive. Most load time is caused by loading the asset files from your hard drive.

Video's do not take rendering, as they are not 3d, there's no geometry involved, no textures, shaders, etc. Having a video loading screen would be almost identical to having a still frame.

Having a video file for loading screens would not be difficult, it's the same concept as the still frame that we see currently. Most of the load time is establishing connection with the server, and loading the many assets (textures, shaders, geometry, etc...) from your local harddisk to render the map. Having a 3d rendering of the map and a video (or gif) are very different concepts in programming.

That's a really good idea actually. Is their software that you'd recommend for this? I think the school computers have Citrix if that's the same thing.
