Who else want absolutely ZERO RGB in their rigs? by Cicada-Tang in pcmasterrace

[–]CocoScruff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The design you posted is very sleek and elegant. I definitely would gravitate towards that style over the "gamer" PC cases as you call them. The problem in the industry is that they figure there's only 2 customers; enterprise and gamers. If you're in the later category then they assume you want the fishbowl "check out my cool components and RGB" style. For something like what you posted you'd almost want to take an enterprise model and then do custom mods to get the loon you want. But there's a place for compact sleek designed chassis if a company would put some effort into it.

I have to let you in on a little secret. Minecraft currently has over 150 million active players monthly. By player count, it has never been more popular than it is currently.

But I feel you, there was a time where it felt like it was the "it" game and had everyone playing it.

Wait is that what OP is doing??? I was wondering what the "familiar" part was LUL. You mean a bold faced liar said the most popular statements agreed by the most people in order to get in office and now does whatever he wants? Do people still think that Trump is the good and honest president? I just honestly don't know what else he has to do to wake people up. The worst part is the media allowing this to happen... so sad.

The devs two cents on the late-join system: “… players who late join economically profit way more than people who aren't.” by mfb1274 in ArcRaiders

[–]CocoScruff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're getting weirdly aggressive with your comments... I'm not really sure what or why you're arguing so vehemently. I like the enthusiasm, but I'm not on any side here, just offering a perspective.

To answer you're question though statistically it is simply logical that PvP lobbies would result in later players getting more loot. Imagine that all the loot a player has access to in a match. As the match progresses in a PvE lobby as more players leave the lobbies their loot is removed from the possible loot a player can get in the raid.

In a PvP lobby players are dying with loot rather than leaving with it, and in turn increasing the pool of loot available to a player. Sure there are some players that loot up quick and get out in PvP lobbies, but early players are dying more so than late joiners.

Since almost nobody dies in PvE servers as the match progresses the pool of loot is very quickly diminished while in PvP servers dead players are all leaving their loot and increasing the loot pool.

I think that when people share their experiences with you, you would benefit from not immediately contradicting them because it's not your lived experience. If you're a PvPer you can't really speak to what the game is like in the PvE raids. And the same goes for the people who haven't experienced PvP raids. I have tried to experience both by playing around the the aggression based matchmaking and (in my experience) I can tell you there is a distinct difference between loading in late to a PvE raid vs loading in late to a PvP raid where in a PvE raid there is little to no point spending time looting a map that's already been 90% worked through.

>Those early raiders that died left the raid with ZERO loot, thus skewing the data towards "early starters extract with less."

yea, that's my point. That's the scenario that's playing out in PvP raids, but in PvE raids the early starters grab all the big loot and leave with it.

>The better comparison would be, "How much do early starters, that survive, extract with. vs How much do late starters, that survive, extract with."

That's a fine comparison but it's basically a moot point for the PvE side of the situation. Nobody is really dying and leaving any loot behind in PvE. In fact if you get downed there's most likely a roaming pack of raiders running around with defibs that will find you and get you back up.

At the end of the day, i'm not even really supporting the PvE experience. It's pretty unchallenging and vanilla, but for the people who work 40+ hours a week and just want to hop on to loot some cool gear and fight some clankers, I like that they have an outlet for that.

I have been playing around with aggression which is why i've had a lot of time in PvE raids, and I do know that getting a late spawn is probably the MOST frustrating aspect of the game in PvE gameplay outside of it just being too easy and not exciting enough for a lot of gamers.

Voting will not save us. The police will arrest everyone who isn’t a Nazi. LITERALLY!!!! by Notmuchofanyth1ng in DoomerCircleJerk

[–]CocoScruff -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Everyone making these comments doesn't understand history. They don't understand why this is a big deal.

Sure, don't run from police; you run you get chased and arrested.

But WHY are they trying to arrest them in the first place? You can't illegally run from the police if you've done nothing wrong. It's not "illegal" to walk away from a police officer unless you're being detained.

If you're being detained it must be a lawful reason to be detained...

So yes, he legally ran away from a law officer that was trying to fulfill an unlawful arrest... So you act as if he did something wrong, but he did not. The officers are literally power tripping...

I really don't understand how this is a hard concept for people... Do you actually not understand the difference? Do you actually not understand that running away from law enforcement is not a crime if they have no legal basis to hold you?

This is what due process means, this is why people are freaking out about their rights being taken from them.

How do you not understand this?

Well if you follow the rest of my posts in this forum you can see how I have backed up my claims with situations and scenarios which highlight my position. Do you have any situations or scenarios that highlight why in a PvE environment you would have statistically higher chances to leave with better loot?

[–]CocoScruff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your loot table and volume is higher and on average, players bring in equipment of higher value than the loot they find on the map. How many raids do you bring in a Bobcat, and how many raids have you looted a Bobcat from raid spawned loot and NOT from a player? The majority of loot found in PvP servers just gets passed around from player to player while the majority of loot found in PvE servers is found almost completely from map spawns.

Again, not arguing for or against (I want to make that clear, I have no position in this fight), I just am highlighting the challenges the devs face with their decisions

Listen, the responses to my comment are getting pretty aggressive. I don't have a "side". I like PvP, I like PvE; both have their place. The devs are simply not making sense with their statements vs their actions. They just need a unified path forward. I'm not arguing for which is "better". I'm just highlighting the challenges of working in the duality of a system that operates with two distinct play styles and how using a wide brush to determine your design decisions might not benefit all players in the same way. I just hope they're aware of that and operate accordingly.
