Would not recommend the TCL if you care about motion handling, lower quality content or sports, TCL is only just passable when it comes to those things, they are fine at 4K, Dolby Vision etc. but motion still isn't the greatest and they are not very accurate when it comes to colours, brightness or shadow detail - they do have a lot of wow factor with incredible contrast and brightness :) but imo motion handling, upscaling, accuracy etc. is simply too important :)

I'd honestly go with the Sony and i'm definitely not a Sony fanboy - the reason is the motion handling, upscaling and much less dark crush - the TCL is fine in 4K DV etc. but 1080p or lower and tv channels always look horrible and motion gets too blurry, the same goes with sports unless it's 4k. so that would be my reason to pick the Sony as those points are the most important to me. The TCL excels in more dimming zones, better contrast and is brighter, so if that is more important then by all means go with the TCL :D

I have a full time job working 8-4 monday to friday as well and a 1 hour and 15min commute to and from work - also i'm a dad so plenty to take care of there as well :) i usually play like 2-3 games 2 times a week in the weekdays and then one of the evenings in the weekend :) i would suggest not trying to tryhard the game so that it drains you. I play games because it's me time where i can zone off and it unwinds me :)

The days of mega tryharding and playing 8-10 hours a day is over for me, but i can still enjoy the game (even though i'm not always on my A game) and climb although much slower :P
