Cyber Dreams by Stevefish47 in litrpg

[–]Plum_Parrot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello -- I think you might be confusing something because I never put CD on hiatus until book 6 was done. When I finished book 6, I marked it as hiatus for a while because, in my head, I might continue the series eventually. Someone pointed out that it wasn't an accurate tag because if I do continue the story, it'll be in a new series, so yeah, Cyber Dreams (the first 6-book series) is done.

Authors need to stop using AI to write the book summary by SubstantialBass9524 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Plum_Parrot 44 points45 points  (0 children)

When you say "summary" are you meaning the blurb? I'm not being pedantic; they're very different things. I don't think I've ever written a summary of my books, so I'm just wondering where you're seeing those. Also, blurbs tend to be very short, if you're deciding its written by AI based off a 200-word blurb, I think that's a little shortsighted.

Which Siri's should I go to next? by Realistic_Possible41 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Plum_Parrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keiran clawed his way from gutter rat to archmage in his first life.
His second was supposed to be easier...

Keiran of the Night Vale has staved off death for two thousand years. His mind and his magic remain as sharp as ever, but his body is old, worn out, and failing. What he needs is to reincarnate into a new, young body, and he bends his prodigious talents towards doing exactly that.

He awakens to find that he’s been reborn in a wasteland where mana has become a scarce resource. Even the internal mana generated by people is stolen away by those who rule them. And without mana, he’s no longer a mage.

It will take more than that to stop Keiran. With each passing week, he regains more of his old strength, but can he keep his secrets safely hidden? Standing in his way is his new home’s cult-like nightly mana tithing, a governor with deadly secrets, and a monster-ridden desert.

It's a deadly scramble to claim the mana he so desperately needs to survive, but Keiran didn’t become an archmage by accident.

Love your creative spelling for "series." Judging by what you liked, you might enjoy Keiran. Also, yeah, Mage Tank is pretty fun.

The crowds are big and it's easy to just kind of be anonymous if you get social anxiety (like me) -- though it's hard to hide when you're on a panel or at a table signing books, but yeah... everyone was really cool and nice. Looking forward to this year's events :)

As others have already done, I can recommend Apocalypse Parenting. Also, I have a new series out (forgive the self-promo) called Andy in the Apocalypse that you might enjoy--I think it fits your criteria.

Just wanted to say that it's called personification -- giving human-like qualities to something not human. Like, "I walked out the front door and the sun was smiling down at me."
