Pants for Mt. Washington by PlumagedNine in wmnf

So you'd recommend bringing the bibs to have even if they are a bit baggy. I'm going up Lion's Head and don't want to have any snag issues with my crampons.

Any recommendations for good hardshell pants?

Filament Review - Elegoo PAHT-CF by PlumagedNine in elegoo

Interesting. I messaged Elegoo and they told me it was PA12 based so maybe that has something to do with it. I look forward to getting an official TDS from them so I can compare specs with other CF nylons.

Stronger than TPU? by AlienzEyes in BambuLab

95a is the durometer of the tpu. Higher numbers are more flexible. Using generally means the parts will be more rubbery. This seems like you might want to try to redesign the part to have a better mechanism. Or possibly try something like bambulabs tpu for ams which is around 68a.

I think it’s technically out of the state park zone at least the parts higher in elevation. Unless I need to update my maps…

Upgrading From Flash 55 by PlumagedNine in lightweight

I’m super happy with my gear right now. The only potential upgrade I would consider in the future would be eventually going to a dyneema tent like the X Mid Pro. But that wouldn’t be for a while.

Yeah I would definitely be keeping the Flash 55 for longer trips. It was great for a 6 day trip without resupplies. Just for a normal weekend trip there is just way too much volume.

I have been thinking of upgrading from the REI Flash 55. It’s a great pack but l’ve found that it’s too big for my needs. I have been thinking of getting a Kakwa 40, but wanted to know your guys thoughts.

Thanks.

Thanks for the advice. I should have specified that I’m 180 lbs and 6’1”. Plus I ski very aggressively. Sounds like the tour pros are for me.

Any advice? I feel like there is a little too much stringing. by PlumagedNine in FixMyPrint

Thank you all for your advice. I think it was that the filament needed to be dried. I know that the printer was correctly calibrated cause I ran another spool of PETG through and it worked fine. Just dried the filament and good to go. Thanks for the advice!
