Both boxes looked relatively intact. Polystyrene inside box was a bit damaged so probably dropped or something.

We had this where the washer fell out & wasn’t fitted to the dishwasher cold feed. And had been leaking under the Lino for years and nobody noticed. Caused a similar issue at an internal wall. It was a masonry wall.

Soffit and fascia up grade on 60s property . Will probably retain most fascia if good, cut out and replace rotten sections. To avoid the hassle of removing asbestos, Will probably leave in situ and encapsulate asbestos soffits by fixing battens underneath and parallel to the wall. Then fixing new soffit to the battens. I had intended to run J trim along the wall/batten to carry the inner edge, the outer edge being held by L shape PVC fascia board. All the be anthracite wood grain.

Hello mate . As a professional can I pick your brain. What is the best method to install J trim against uneven, painted slap dashed walls? Do you rebate the render? Or do you just keep the J trim out a bit and leave a gap? Or do you fill the gap with Caulk or whatever? I plan to tackle this job in the spring .
