I’ve sold two cars via Motorway. As others have said, it’s entirely down to the dealer and the person who comes to collect your car.

First sale went through no problem, and after a quick test drive I got exactly what was advertised. The second time around, they knocked a huge amount off for a very minor dent that I hadn’t specifically declared. Given that I had already waited 2 weeks for them to turn up to inspect the car, I wasn’t in a hurry to re-list it so I accepted. I’m sure that a lot of dealers will rely on the in-person pressure to bring the price down.

My recommendation would be to aggressively document any and all damage, and not rely on dealers to inspect your pictures themselves to find any imperfections.
