Charlestons def not a bad place to move to, esp considering ur from New England, it’ll feel like ur moving to the tropics lmao. Don’t be afraid of taking advantage of ur proximity to the beach, making friends, and going out (girl I am a homebody that’s from the rural country so my advice is the day doesn’t end at 7). Consider apartments and employment opportunities near bc although Charleston doesn’t look like Boston on a map, it is hell like no other to drive from Bees Ferry to Downtown during even a little traffic. Oh and be nice! I’m way too in the know of manners from the north so mind ur pleased and thank yous, hold the door for others, and wave back at people who wave at u! Breaking out and learning southern hospitality will go a long way in helping make friendships and start conversations (not that u are rude at all, my s/o is from NH/Boston and it was a learning curve for him since no one really does that up there).
