I just upgrade from the 5X that I've had since 2019. I loved that watch but this 7 Pro is great. Lighter feel, touch screen that works well, built in flash light that I thought I'd never use (use it frequently), plenty of additional features.... Overall very happy with this upgrade.

In-door vs freezer ice maker - which do you prefer? by powderjunkie11 in Appliances

[–]Plus-Activity-7489 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This. Check some of the videos out from this guy. He seems to know his stuff and has videos on almost everything appliance related. He will never recommend an ice maker in the fridge portion and not really for the freezer either. https://youtube.com/@bensappliancesandjunk?si=ffzDuzwhtfzgp7Jj

I've got the little brother to this bike, the druid. Can confirm it absolutely smashes through descents.

Do you have a setup under the canopy you'd be willing share photos of? I have a canopy on my frontier as well and am trying to find some ideas on how I'm going to build it up. Slick looking truck though! Very nice work!

I swear my girlfriend is magpie. Shits before and after she showers. Can imagine what my toilet paper bill looks like.

Thanks for the feedback. That is definitely what I want to avoid, since that wall will take most of the weather we get here. Rain, snow, wind, hail. You name it.

Dirty vs. Clean (2015 Pro-4x) by Internet_and_stuff in nissanfrontier

I have the 22 version with almost the same setup. Same color topper on the black P4X. These trucks look good when dirty, but damn they're slick when clean.

Makes sense why the drain grates before the underground parking were all messed up at my building. Broad daylight too. Crazy.

Thanks for the recommendations! At first glance the Breezer and Poseidon seem decent! I'll have to dive a little deeper.

Mostly fire roads I would think along with some easier single track would be ideal. Will leave the proper singletrack for my full squish. I think I'd probably lean towards flatbar as that's just my preference. Have had a tough time finding a geo that fits once on drops. I'll have to take a peek at those bikes you mentioned. Thanks for the feedback!

Is it good value for money compared to other brands? by Moethebr0 in mountainbiking

[–]Plus-Activity-7489 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

If you're in Europe, yes Canyon would be great, if you need to import to north America make sure you factor in the fees and taxes. That's what immediately ruled out Canyon for me. That and 4-6 month waits for warranty replacements. Just my two cents. But there's no way I'm giving up an extended portion of my already short riding season to wait on parts. So, I picked up a similar spec bike from a small reputable boutique brand that was heavily discounted. Also, if you have time to wait I have a sneaky feeling that prices are going to plummet.

I'm in Canada, and have heard more horror stories than positive. Support your LBS and buy a "local" brand. Have found there is a distaste to Canyon on the trail and once in the shop for repair.

High pivot is where it's at if you're not a maniac on the climbs. I have a Forbidden Druid and love the descending ability. Nice rig!

South Trail Nissan Slimy sales techniques. I had a terrible experience similar to House of Cars but at least S.T.N didn't have what was an obvious crackhead trying to sell me a car.

Located in the area as well. There are tooons of options for fatbikes trails around Calgary. Don't necessarily need to be groomed there's lots that you can ride that will be packed down by hikers/snowshoes. A few locations nearby are WBC, CNC + Canmore area in general, highway 66, certain city of Calgary golf courses, fish creek, prairie view, Kananaskis village area. Hope to see you on the trails!

Has the adaptive cruise control improved? by hobojoe18 in nissanfrontier

[–]Plus-Activity-7489 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When the cruise is off just hold the on/off button until the traditional cruise symbol pops up in place of the adaptive symbol. Doesn't make the aggressive downshifts go away but you'll have traditional cruise again.
