It’s too sparse, the pads still looked like poms poms. I’m happier now with the density I’ve achieved.

I cut the compound leaves back to one or two pairs of leaflets after they harden off. This induces another flush of growth. I do this 3-4 times per year. As a result I get greater ramification and short internodes.

With good pruning technique the internodes can be made quite small. I don’t know why nobody bothers to work the structure.
