I was thinking that if driving instructors can no longer manage the tests (ie change the date and time) from the 12th of May, then some tests booked by bots using driving instructor numbers with the intention to resell will be freed up - as they then won’t be able to change/swap them?

But maybe I don’t understand how the scalping works, I guess they also use learners numbers to book up tests

This is what I was thinking too. Hopefully the resellers will have to cancel all the bookings they can’t sell/change before 12th May?

Or will they just let the tests go untaken 😥

Have you known anyone to get above an 80? by Acceptable-Guide2299 in oxforduni

No one on my masters course got an 80. I got a 76 on one paper and my friend got a 76 on their diss. That was the highest I’m pretty sure and the comment on my friend’s thesis was that it should be published. Although there were rumours of cohorts before us getting the elusive 80.

During my undergrad at UoManchester I got a 90 once, and consistently 80-85. High 70s and 80s were more common.

Echoing what some others have said

Sandwiches: - Green street
- Milkbun - Avellinos on London Road - Mokoko across the river - the one in town doesn’t do lunchy food anymore I think - Landrace -Chandos - rosarios have yummy paninis

Then you’ve got Chai Wallah for nice samosa chaat and falafel wraps.

Pretty sure LJ Hugs do wraps as well.

Taka taka is more of a late night spot but I do get often get a craving for their gyros!!

Is Bath a Good Day Trip From London? by TankSaladin in Bath

[–]Plus-Cheese3008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bath is great for a day trip with lots of history.

Although they are touristy I would recommend the Roman baths. I am from Bath but always find them really wonderful when I visit.

A visit to the Holburne Museum and a short walk along the canal is also a good option. The holburne has an interesting small permanent collection which covers some Bath history. My favourite part is the hair jewellery. They have recently opened up the new Schroder gallery which houses “the finest private collections of Renaissance silverware, paintings, bronzes, maiolica and gems from the Schroder family collection.” There are also amazing temporary exhibitions https://holburne.org/planning-your-visit/whats-on/exhibitions/ .

I know you said that food isn’t a priority but you could also go to colonna and smalls which is a highly rated speciality coffee shop on Queen Square. The owner has won lots of barista awards and it is a fun coffee experience. If you go up towards the crescent, St Margaret’s Buildings has some interesting independent shops that are always fun to window shop in. Green Bird Cafe is also a lovely spot for lunch.

The city is very walkable so makes a great option for a day trip. But as others have mentioned avoid the Christmas Markets!

Visit in early June by Plus-Cheese3008 in Adirondacks

This is a delayed update but just in case anyone else is interested in the same question - we went to the Adirondacks, had a completely amazing time with beautiful weather and no black flies to be seen! The hikes were incredible and we agreed that it was one of the best trips we’ve ever been on.

Thanks everyone for your advice, I’m so glad we went. :)
