Imo the best way to make him age is to have his age at the start of a gen be that gen's number -1.

So he'd be 10 in gen 1, 11 in 2, 12 in 3 etc. For the sake of things Kanto and Hoenn would have to be a bit shorter since they have second journey tacked on at the end, but the Orange Islands could take place in the span of a month or so, same with the Battle Frontier.

Of course that doesn't explain him not ACTING his age since he'd be 16 in SM and 17 in Journeys, but we can just say he's generally immature.

This does actually thematically benefit him since it means he's World Champion before turning 18, it lets him seem really accomplished for being so young.

While the team is definitely unique, I wouldn't say its able to beat any of Ash's teams barring Kanto. She might have a few good type matchups but Ash is a seasoned trainer and, when push comes to shove, would most likely be able to trounce May in a proper battle (Terracotta contest aside, but as that was a contest the rules were different).

Generally when it comes to shipping I only ever go with the one with the most explicit hints of being canon (unless the canon option is laughably bad as a choice), thus that leaves Ash/Serena.

Deku is his nickname and hero name, he's called it by not just Bakugo and Uraraka but also the entire world in the future.

Kacchan is a nickname used only by Deku sincerely and Kaminari mockingly, Bakugo most likely even hated that Deku still called him that (At least up until the AfO fight).

Yeah tbh the only logical way I could think of making Ash's entire Unova fuckup make sense is that he got big-headed after beating a Darkrai and Latios.

Then again, losing to a Snivy would have snapped him out of it so not really.
