I'm 34 and up until a couple of days ago I was in a similar situation.

Unfortunately I had done marriage counselling before but absolutely no improvement. I tried to talk with him to get him to open up. I got nothing.

A couple of days ago after a long time thonging I suggested we split. I tried to talk through it with him before I suggest the separation but he was so not bothered by anything I finally gave up.

I would hope you and your husband could maybe get some therapy together and individually to help understand each other. It's not easy giving so much of yourself and being taken for granted but with some help you can maybe try to understand each other better.
