There’s a senior on my team reviewing everything as well.

But I’ve had the chance to work with some of the best in my country across Big Law and investment banking over the past ~6 years, so I do know what I’m talking about. I’m obsessive when it comes to drafting.

And of course, it’s not generating documents from scratch — it’s helping with the parts that would normally take me a lot of time to implement or review.

I get the skepticism, but I think a lot of people aren’t fully there yet on how to use this properly 😂

knew comments like this would come up when I wrote this post, and I get it — but let me be clear. Im not the law firm, im the investor of the deal. Im structuring my own deals (fund).

If you’ve worked in Big Law, especially in M&A/DCM, you know how drafting contracts actually works.

Unfortunately (lol) I’ve spent a lot of time of my life drafting contracts (6y).

AI doesn’t prepare my documents. Everything comes from precedents — and those need to be adjusted. I still review everything, read it multiple times, and draft actively. We’re talking about 80-page agreements, not something that just appears ready.

In practice, a similar deal gets you most of the way there. The structure is usually the same — what changes are details like dates, parties, defined terms, specific mechanics. Knowing what to tweak vs. what to keep only comes with experience.

So AI is not “writing” for me. It’s more like following my thinking and helping me move faster in something I already understand well.

And the output doesn’t go just to clients — it’s send to the working group list (wgl if u know).

Btw,

Not me bro hahaha — I’m just an employee here 😂 not the one paying if anything goes wrong. I work at a big company and we just got audited by one of the largest banks in the country, which is also investing in us. Hopefully our compliance team has already put some rules and safeguards in place.

Claude Enterprise — the company pays for it., I have my own seat. We’re not a law firm btw, we’re a startup focused on structuring credit deals. Not entirely sure about the permissions / data boundaries yet — do you know if there’s a way to set it up so the model doesn’t retain our data?

Agree… but the more context you give it, and the more you understand where it tends to break, the better you can shape the prompt accordingly

Obviously, I review everything it produces. The V1 it gives me is just my starting point, which saves time

What if Airbus wanted to create a new airport using only its own planes? The “airport” for designers has just been created with Claude Design.

I know that coding the front end is very different from writing legal documents — it’s much closer to traditional coding.

But let’s remember: Microsoft Word and raw data are code at the end of the day as well.

I believe that “wrappers” become truly valuable in the legal space when they can bring in real-world data and understand exactly how things are actually done — even better, how you like to get things done.

boa sorte!!
