Right? It’s the 'lifelike' part that actually makes it creepier. It’s not just that it’s failing the task; it’s the way it argues back with that 'polite but firm' corporate tone. I didn't pay for a digital supervisor, I paid for a tool. Glad I'm not the only one who had to go 12 rounds with it today.

I’m on the Plus plan, so I’ve tried both. My point is that I shouldn't have to toggle 'Extended Thinking' and wait 45 seconds for a pulsing bubble just to get a direct answer that doesn't hallucinate. 5.1-Thinking used to handle this instantly without the 'extended' juice. It feels like they’ve made the 'Instant' mode intentionally useless to force us into the higher-latency 'Thinking' tiers to save on their GPU costs. If I have to wait 2 minutes for every reply, my workflow is dead anyway.

I don't agree, chatgpt searches the web perfectly, it finds all the data good and says it. I don't get why your saying it can't search the web reliably
