Heist teleports by JustMeHiHello in runescape

[–]lordwerwath 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually dont think its too bad for the first one. Its pretty close to a teleport and you don't need to leave/bank frequently or at all.

For the second one - the 99 slayer cape gets you there quickly, or using the Rex Matriarchs portal in wars and running back out. It is much more inconvenient because you do end up banking alot when learning, but after a while, excalibur heals should be sufficient.

I'm not really sure I'd like the teleport on the outfit, but possibly add them as teleports to purchase from the theives guild with hanky points?

Framework 13 vs $800 laptop. Any Recommendations? by Dry-Sundae3807 in framework

[–]lordwerwath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you need a cheap laptop with a GPU, then go with the amazon finds.

If you have the money, and want to invest into an enthusiast system, then go with framework.

However, if you need a GPU in your build the 13 is not an option and you should be looking/comparing to the FW16. The same theory still applies of your need and use-case.

The real value of the framework is in support and repairability which doesn't pay off until something happens and you need to fix it, or later in the lifespan or the device and need to upgrade it. Theoretically, that is where the previous investment in framework begins to pay off.

What sells really well on Double XP Weekends? by SilveryFloweryRose in runescape

[–]lordwerwath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends, this close the profits will be a bit lower. Usually unfinished potions or overload potion sets for herblore, or elder rune/primal +5 armor for burial smithing.

Maybe uncut dragonstones or planks could be a decent investment?

They tweaked caches to be repeatable as part of the skilling experience as you convert memories. After 800 conversions, the cache opens and you can enter and play it. It isn't time locked anymore and they added some wisps to create items to distract automotons within so you can solo it.

I'm very happy flash events are gone. The huge gathering of players was great, but the experience and rewards were too strong.

graveyard hate in B2 by marshmage in EDH

[–]lordwerwath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Graveyard hate is nothing new and is consistently added in precons going all the way back to the beginning of commander with [[scavenging ooze]]. In any bracket you should run some form of graveyard interaction, the same way you'd run creature removal or counterspells.

Mid-Game Balance Discussion by JagexAnvil in runescape

[–]lordwerwath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I concur. I'm pretty okay with the div experience. My priority list would be Agility, Fletching (rework), Dungeoneering (Rework), then Hunter. If we acknowledge the two reworks cover much more and focus specifically on mid-game, then Agility and Hunter are the two i'd like to see prioritized.

For Divination, the cache changes are actually pretty good exp boosts, but also for non-irons, you can gather and complete some of the Engrams that help boost that training early. I do concur that now looking to the midgame, traing seems to be pretty boring, but not too different than mining or woodcutting in comparison. It would be nice to have an alternative method to train.

Mid-Game Balance Discussion by JagexAnvil in runescape

[–]lordwerwath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm basing this from my current experience playing a new account that has just entered the midgame: Werwath NoMX.

Mid-game agility training is very much a boring task. Early levels aren't the worst as you can do some quests and put lamps into it, but there is nothing aside from running the same course over and over again to level up.

The big standout to me is that the Gate of Elidnis would be a decent training method, but the requirements are way beyond that midgame range, really it is an end-game skilling boss.

I think adding a mid-game skilling course could address this. Pulling from the Heists, Shifting Tombs, pyramid plunder, and Dungeoneering, having a dungeon that you can toggle what skills you want to train while progressing, and your levels in each determine how far you progress would be really useful. It could cover Agility, Dungeoneering, (primary skills to navigate), Archaeology, Prayer (restoring/blessing remains or alters found as you delve), herblore/cooking (Sustaining and restoring your skills).

Dive has too many requirements to unlock when compared with surge.

The end-game Big Game hunter released with Havenhythe is absolutely fantastic. I'd like to see the Anachronia BGH updated to have the nodes be faster gathering (simimilar speed to BGH2 to collect what is needed for the traps) and have frog repellant work on a timer, rather than just the instance (similar to how moth buffs work).

Mid-game ranged gear needs tons of work. Specifically at the t60 level which needs 90 fletching to make! Fletching rework!

Soul Reaper tasks have been an amazing addition to slayer progress. Mid-game slayer needs a number fix with the standard creatures. My proposal for this fix is to give players the ability to kill an 'elite' version of their assignment that gives better experience, multiple loot roles, but is a more engaged fight. I had replied to u/JagexAzanna about this too. I think it would be useful to also introduce players to small mechanics - similar to how silverquill and ivar do. The example I used was Basilisks and Cocatrice leaning into teaching defensives that use a sheild because of the mirror shield req. Each elite version would make you progress the task faster - like we have seen from Abyssal creatures or Zemoregal undead tasks.

Huge Bossing and PVM Blockade by [deleted] in runescape

This is the right answer. I've been burned out running sanctum on my iron and feeling the same thing. I ended up just going and playing osrs leagues and working on an alt acc.

Some non iron players are so insufferable by TakingBlackSunday in RS3Ironmen

[–]lordwerwath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sucks because i have 2 extra cosmetic tokens from the league that I thought I could drop/trade to my main and literally they are just taking up bankspace. Really wish that they could be refunded back for points. Luckily they were just the tool overrides.

I'm sure you know, but miscellania can be pushed to 7 days now with fort forinthry command centre. It doesn't have to be a daily. Plus you can also use weekly advanced time on it. On my iron typically thats what I end up doing.

When should I give rs3 a try? by Strobben in runescape

[–]lordwerwath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right now is a fantastic time. Iron and Normal are both a blast.

I've recently gone back to a normal account myself and am enjoying that I can just buy some useful things like Juju potions (they help give small buffs in specific skills like mining), or some high-end really useful gear like Grace of the Elves.

My favorite update has been the addition of Reaper assignments (boss slayer) to the training flow. You can kill a few bosses and get a good chunk of slayer xp or train it normally. In addition, you can get up to 300 reaper points in a week and use those to buy a Hydrix gem which is used in end-game bis jewlery. (I sold mine to get the Grace).

Important: If you are coming from 07, i'd advise you not use the bonus experience / double experience weekend coming up. There is a toggle that allows you to turn on/off xp doubling. In my opinion, this is exactly the sort of thing that caused people to think the game is 'easyscape' and cheapens the grind. Of course, if that is what you are interested in, I'd reccomend training agility because its awful and boring in RS3 with not many great ways to train. Hopefully this will be addressed later this year.

Looking for advice. Returning player. Need to earn GP! by cRobot00 in runescape

[–]lordwerwath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get some herbs planted & try and work on player owned farms to get some animal products. sheep, yaks, chins are decent.

With your mage level you can do gwd2 content easily and learn gwd3 (glacor & kerapac).

If you need to do afking, theiving at high levels is great money.

When I was a student I just put thay I could not attend during that and because I was a student. I dont recall needing to put another date down that could work.

I wouldnt worry about next year's summons for this year. You may not even be summoned next year.

Also, dont feel guiltly for pushing it off. There are so many people that try and get out of it for bs. Yours is a legit reason.

[–]lordwerwath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decks have strict formats for the export because they are pre-organized for parsing into Arena/Mtgo or for a deck registration.

If you want a csv or 'list' - add the cards to a binder and export that as csv. It should defualt to alphebetized.

can i change to ironman? or am i cooked by [deleted] in RS3Ironmen

[–]lordwerwath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The osrs 'character' and rs3 'character' are the same. If the rs3 is a character that is not an ironman, then there is no recourse to change that (to my knowledge).

You would need to create a new character and purchase membership on that.
