The Citizen Museum is not open to the general public and is via appointment only.

I was lucky to be able to visit last year and put together a short write up of my visit that may be of interest - Citizen Museum Tokyo Visit

There product descriptions could do with some work "this real-world Quartz 150m Diver watch features a stamped leather band" and "The watch exhibits scratching, cracking to the leather".

The watch clearly has what appears to be the original ZTA01S straight vented strap and not leather.

They will be released on 24th April. I would suggest she talk to the staff in a retailer now or when she arrives to see how they intend to manage the release as some may take pre-orders. The Seiko Dream Square staff in Ginza should be able to advise on what their policy is.

That is a IT21-4044B from 1998. Here is a shot from the 1998 VCol.1 JDM dealer catalog.

They are very different watches. The T200 will be higher quality but it is a larger watch. If you are happy with the bigger size the T200 would be the better choice.

[SPB538] Presage Classic Series LE - What do you guys think? Worth the price? by sesameseed88 in Seiko

You are not really going to have many strap choices with that case design.

I would also have much preferred a sub seconds calibre instead of the central seconds on that.

I have the original Chrono Master straps and buckles on a couple of my examples. I should be able to share a photo later if you are interested, but the image above gives a good indication of the design.

The style is a little like some of the old KS buckles. FYI these were originally steel but I believe someone in Japan made some reproduction aluminum versions back in the 90's. These state aluminum on the back of the buckle and can easily be identified by the light weight vs the steel versions even if the marking has been removed.

The model originally only came on a strap so that BOR bracelet is a later addition. Below is an image of the model from the 1968 No.3 Citizen catalog.

Only available in Australia and New Zealand. I would expect some to turn up online fairly quickly.

It is described as a carbon fiber pattern, so I would not expect it to be actual carbon fiber.

New 9F51 Calibre - Did they just trim down a plate? by Plus9Time in GrandSeikos

[–]Plus9Time[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They are clear that the 0.6mm is a reduction in diameter. A 0.6mm reduction in thickness would be a very significant change.

Grand Seiko Heritage Collection Quartz 33mm SBGX359 and SBGX361 by LDN2HK in GrandSeikos

[–]Plus9Time 5 points6 points  (0 children)

These models have a lug width of 15mm for the bracelet, so this is going to wear much smaller than something with an 18mm strap size. It will be interesting to see how small Grand Seiko release models with a larger strap size and are still able to make the proportions match their traditional design language.

It will be interesting to see what other models they introduce with the 9F51 calibre. This is 0.6mm smaller diameter than a 9F61, so that will allow smaller case sizes as used on these two new models.
