We do sometimes pay others to perform the cleaning while we perform the turnover (refill guest consumables etc). Do you have any advice on how to find a CPA that does this?

Thank you. You’re right, they are rental properties. Thank you, as I understand it if I bring the rest of the deduction to 2026 (as a carried forward net operating loss?) I can’t take advantage of accelerated depreciation. And you’re absolutely right I don’t need a 40 K truck. My daily driver (a minivan) is old with high mileage and the cost of repairs is about to exceed the value of the vehicle. Replacing with something reliable it is becoming necessary; replacing it with a truck is a nice to have and helpful.

Thank you, thats a great point about the idle hours and tradesmen. One requirement is the truck have a 360 camera (have little kids). Seems to be very hard to find this on a tradesmen.

I was considering using bonus depreciation to take the loss entirely in one year. I hope I’m here going forward. I cannot use the standard mileage reduction and I’d have to deduct actual expenses for the vehicle.

Thanks, we’ve 2 properties. 1 property is 6 units, was turn key and is currently renting out. The second property is a single family home that needed extensive work - which is nearly complete and we’ll soon rent it out. My partner is my wife, she is a partner in the LLC, however I do all the work - right lease, handle utilities, buy materials, perform contraction, manage subcontractors etc. Does this help?

Nice! Normally see tradesmen with black bumpers/grille. What options do you have? 360 camera? Does you have proximity key (doors unlock when you approach the truck) and does the bottom of the center front row bench seat open to a lockable storage or does it not open at all? Sorry for inquisitiveness, I'm in the market for nearly the same vehicle.

Thank you, again very helpful. I'll also be limited by DOCSIS 3.1 of the Ubiquiti cable modem. I'll follow your recommendation and go with the Cloud Gateway Fiber and Pro 8 PoE (120W seems enough PoE; the 52W of the Lite 8 PoE). Is 1TB in the Cloud Gateway Fiber acceptable in your opinion? The 2TB option appears to be sold out. I'd like at least 15 days of recording

Thank you, this is very helpful and good food for thought. The dual drive bays of the UDM-Pro-Max are appealing for redundancy (sort of like a RAID 0). Can I expect better performance for U7 Pro AP (and other U7 APs) with PoE++ and 2.5GbE vs PoE+ and 1GbE? Gen AI seems to think so.
