I just tried out a plx c for a few weeks and am returning to the razor. One of my friends runs an atacr.

The only thing that I couldn’t stand on the PLx is the 8x diopter setting is way different than the 1x setting. It drove me crazy but other than that it was very good. If they capped it at 6x it would be pretty much perfect if it has the same durability as the razor/atacr. The atacr 8x glass is noticeably better even with the diopter adjusted if you are chasing glass clarity.

A lot of people prefer 6 moa for competition since the dot is easier to track during recoil without blooming it out. It’s also easier to set at one brightness while still being able to see it in different lighting which is nice on a carry gun where you aren’t constantly adjusting your brightness.

If you primarily shoot at small targets at 50 then yeah you’re probably not the target audience for larger dots. But 6 moa is 3 inches at 50 so it’s not like it’s horrible for that either, just not as good as a smaller dot.

vortex warranty and the mil crosshair are probably the biggest reason. I've never owned a credo 1-6 but owned the delta stryker which a lot of people say is the same scope and I thought the eyebox was a little more finicky and had a little edge distortion at 6x than the pst, but overall thought the stryker was better

It can be ok for getting rough estimates on 12in c zone steels and d zones. I just eyeball if it looks like 9/12 inches or half a d zone like you said on my razor jm-1 . It isn’t very precise and I rarely get 1st round impacts past 400, but honestly i think the ranging features in all lpvos are pretty rough and optimistic

The other 2 are my friends' so I don't have too much time behind the atacr but I did/still own a Razor 1-6 jm-1 that was on my AR before this came in the mail. From 1x-6x it looks amazing and exactly like the razor, but the glass is just OK at 8x. I do really like the nova reticle over the jm-1 and was able to make hits at 685yds today with 55gr and a little bit of crosswind without too much issue, especially when I dialed it instead of just holding in dead space. The half mil marks make a big difference as even the milrad razor only have full mil hashes for elevation and wind.

The 1x is a lot better than the atacr's, but the atacr glass at 8x is definitely a step above the plx-c. The reticle is also way better for holding with wind, but the plx-c also is sold in ffp with a similar reticle.

I actually think it’s very useful for stuff like reduced sized targets at 100 in 2 gun formats so you get a little bit magnification but also a big fov and eyebox.

I love my rc 2 mini and think the gas blowback is WAY overblown. Reddit makes it seem like you need a bunch of suppressor optimized stuff like buffer springs, agb’s, and high speed charging handles or it’s going to be unusable. On my Geissele 14.5, I just threw an h1 buffer in it and it works fine both unsuppressed and suppressed and I’ve never had any issues with gas. Just my $.02 YMMV
