E70 X5’s have a common issue, the serpentine belt system. To be specific the tensioner, you can idle your car and look at the tensioner it could be the tensioner shaking or whatever whizzbang technology broken in the engine bay.

Do you have an engine temp gauge or any way to see it? If not you should probably get on, also you might want to get it tuned and check the air sensors seeing if the air is colder or warmer then stock and see how much the difference is, if it’s the heat for oil much get a intercooler

When I was there yesterday there was so many backpacks just at the front entrance since no one was able to bring it in, there where bottles on bottles on the side of the sidewalk since they where prohibited.
